Today I attended a great event organized by SONAD & the 🇬🇧Embassy Mog to launch the Somali Sign Language Book, with support from UNSOM and IOM. Promoting sign lang is a HR and key to inclusive education. Grateful for this effort, & hope support f vulnerable communities continues.
Somalia’s greatest Chlng is political instblty driven by irrespbl leaders, a frgmntd opposition with no clear vision,& profit-driven CSOs that neglect their mandate. Citizens suffer: no services,no justice,no certainty. It’s time for patriots to rise, mobilize, & demand acctblty.
President @HassanSMohamud is deliberately delaying the political dialogue. Possible reasons: time-buying to consolidate power; weak internal consensus; testing opposition unity; creating public fatigue; avoiding concessions; or legal maneuvering to reshape rules in his favor.
Dialogue w/o goodwill can’t be productive. Somali leaders convened a historic National Dialogue, bt after long, confusing delays, citizens ask: Is it abt solving real issues or just a dialogue abt the dialogue?Somalis wnt progress, responsibility&public respect, not endless meetings.

As an education worker&civilsociety activist, I hv the constitutional right to speak freely and join national dialogue. I raise public concerns, support good, and call out harm. Dear Minister @faaraxsheekh, please take care in your actions twrd me.

Education is NOT a political playground! Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir is abusing his office by meddling in Association of Somali Universities' (ASU) elections. Universities & society must unite to reject this fraud and defend academic independence.@SomaliPM@WorldBank@GPECEO
Leaders serve personal interests while the nation suffers. The public waits for miracles but change never comes to those who wait. A brighter future requires action, unity, and accountability. Silence keeps us weak, but collective voice makes us powerful.✊🇸🇴 #Public_Awareness
The opp in Somalia shd unite on a common platform, demand inclusivity, and use legal, political, and civic tools while mobilizing both dmstc and intl pressure to counter gvmnt control over elections &constnl review, ensuring this is done peacefully to avoid worsening fragility.
A full day training for 40 Somali universities' Rectors, Deans, Heads of Departments etc was a life opportunity. Somalis are born eloquents. I enjoyed.
It was a thought-provocative training. Many thanks for the organiser: Association of Somali Universities and all participants
