The SC today rejected the HSE's appeal in Power v HSE and upheld a High Court decision that a permanent employee "acting up" in a higher role on a temporary basis is entitled to the protection of the Protection of Employees (Fixed-Term Work) Act 2003, as a fixed term employee.
