السنوسية والقبيلة ..

ظهرت الطريقة السنوسيّة كحركة إسلامية سُنيّة وسطية اضطلعت بإصلاح الفرد والمجتمع، وهي مثلما نالت الاحترام الشديد في الحواضر، فقد حصلت على الامتنان والولاء الكامل في البيئة القبلية التي شهدت مهمة السنوسية الرئيسة في الاصلاح، وحيث تجسّدت هناك العلاقة الثنائية المثاليّة بينها من جهة وبين المجتمع القبلي العريض من جهة أخرى، ففي مقابل ذلك الولاء الذي منحته القبائل للسنوسيّة فقد جنت تلك القبائل مكسب الشعور بالأمان في بيئة كان يغيب فيها أي مظهر من مظاهر القانون وينهكها الصرّاع القبلي المتغذِّي على الفوارق الطبقيّة السا��دة.
لقد نجحت السنوسية في آداء مهمتها -كما يقول المختصون- وفق نظرية واحدة، وهي "نظرية الخوف من المقدس" دون أن تلعب السنوسيّة في مهمتها التي أدتها دور السلطة الحاكمة أو تمارس وظيفة الشرطي.
ولَمّا إدلهم الخطب بوقوع الغزو الأوروبي في المنطقة؛ وجد رجال القبائل من جديد عنصرهم الجامع والمحفّز في طريقتهم السنوسيّة لصد ذلك العدوان، وبقيادة شيوخها خاضوا ملحمة المقاومة تحت رايتها، ليُدون لهم التاريخ في صفحاته بأحرف من نور وإلى الأبد تضحياتهم التي تأسس عليها فيما بعد استقلال بلادهم.
