Panther shifter Adrian Paddock was sent to Dragomir to protect an heir.
He didn't expect to find a world caught between tradition and change—or an enemy hiding in plain sight.
The old dragons distrust predators that cannot fly. Ancient rivalries still smolder beneath the mountain strongholds. Powerful nobles would rather see the Order remain broken than allow a wolf-born heir to reshape it. And Adrian quickly discovers that protecting Reese means standing against traditions older than kingdoms.

When I first wrote Stanley Swanson: Breed of a Werewolf, I wasn’t thinking about building a massive universe of characters, bloodlines, histories, rivalries, and stories that would continue for years.
I was simply trying to write a book.
That book was published in 2014, and looking back now, it is almost hard to believe how much came from that one beginning.
Stanley Swanson opened the door to a supernatural world that continued to grow as I wrote. Characters who may have originally seemed like supporting pieces began developing histories, motivations, relationships, and stories of their own. Some became important enough that I wanted readers to understand where they came from. Others surprised me completely and ended up becoming some of my favorite characters to write.
That is one of the things I have always enjoyed most about storytelling.
Sometimes the writer may begin with a plan, but the characters have a way of changing that plan.
Over time, the world surrounding Stanley grew to include werewolves, vampires, Drakulis, ancient bloodlines, powerful families, forbidden relationships, wars, betrayals, and characters whose lives stretched across generations. Books such as The First Curse, The Veil of the Foreseen, The Witch of Northington, and many others were born from that expanding world.
And somehow, more than a decade later, I’m still looking back at that original novel and realizing just how important it was to everything that followed.
Recently, Stanley Swanson: Breed of a Werewolf reached 22 reviews, which may not sound like a huge number compared to some books, but for me it means a great deal. Those reviews represent readers who took a chance on a story I first released back in 2014 and were kind enough to share their thoughts afterward.
For an independent author, every reader matters.
Every review matters.
Every person who recommends a book, downloads one, listens to the audiobook, or simply tells someone else about a character they enjoyed helps keep that story alive.
The funny thing is that writing Stanley also taught me something I didn’t fully understand when I started.
You never really know where a story is going to take you.
One book can become a series.
A side character can become the center of another novel.
A small detail mentioned in one chapter can become the foundation for a story years later.
And sometimes a fictional world grows right alongside the person writing it.
That has certainly been the case for me.
Today, my writing has expanded far beyond one supernatural series. I’ve written science fiction, suspense, post-apocalyptic stories, dark fantasy, and even a monster mystery comedy. Each genre gives me something different to explore, but there will always be something special about the world that started it all.
Stanley Swanson was the beginning.
Everything after that became part of the journey.
And thankfully, I’m not finished telling stories yet.
If you’re new to my books, I invite you to explore the different worlds, characters, and series available through my official website.
You may come looking for werewolves.
You may leave with zombies, aliens, monsters, Drakulis, mysteries, or something completely unexpected.
That’s part of the fun.

BOOK OVERVIEW
What would happen if, one day, the sun rose from the West?
A signal from deep space.
A discovery no one can explain.
And a world moving toward something it cannot yet name.
Everything begins in Houston, when Egyptian-American astrophysicist Dr. Leyla Hassan detects an unusual supernova event through NASA’s observation network. What first appears to be a rare astronomical anomaly soon reveals impossible patterns—patterns that should not exist.
The investigation leads far beyond observatories and scientific models.
Joined by Hakan Demir, a Turkish scientist working with NASA, Leyla follows a trail stretching across continents: from the ancient sanctuaries of Göbekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe to the pyramids of Egypt, forgotten languages, hidden chambers, and secrets buried beneath the oldest stones on Earth.
But science is not the only guide.
Kemal Bey—a retired professor of ancient languages—and his gifted granddaughter Meryem begin noticing fragments of old prophecies, symbols, and warnings that seem less like history—
and more like memory.
Meanwhile, the world begins to shift.
Energy networks become unstable.
Unexpected crises spread across distant regions.
Institutions struggle to keep pace.
Some disruptions seem accidental.
Others appear strangely timed.
And as uncertainty spreads, a new language quietly emerges:
stability.
coordination.
security.
In the shadows, some are no longer trying to stop what is coming.
They are helping shape it.
Not to destroy the world—but to reboot it and to decide what comes after.
What begins as a scientific investigation becomes a race against time—across continents, across centuries, and perhaps across the line separating warning from design.
What if the light before sunrise is not the dawn—but a False Dawn?
The Sun Rising from the West – False Dawn is a gripping thriller blending archaeology and science fiction—a story of ancient mysteries, modern science, hidden agendas, and humanity’s search for truth at the edge of a changing world.

"A fantasia of a double tale skimming through the art capitals of Europe with double muses, double love pursuits, double Raphaels, even double authors, a tale dripping with idealized romantic settings, mystery, art, and a touch of magic, The Sidewalk Artist will keep readers wondering what is real and what is artifice--as fine paintings always do."--Susan Vreeland, author of Girl in Hyacinth Blue While in Europe researching her next novel, twenty-something American Tulia Rose falls headlong into a romance with a handsome sidewalk artist.
