#WATCH | Chennai: On TN Minister CTR Nirmal Kumar's statement regarding the Thiruparankundram lamp dispute, BJP State Secretary Vinoj P Selvam says, "The MLA of Thirupparankundram has overstepped by saying that the lamp will not be lit atop the Thirupparankundram. But let me remind the Minister that there is no force on earth which can stop the Hindus of the state from regaining, from reclaiming the rights. The hillock belongs to Lord Muruga, and no one can change the facts. Just because of your political convenience and your allegiance to the minorities, you cannot try to toy with the idea of Hinduism. The cultural integrity of the Hindus of the state stays united, and the BJP will fight along with all the Hindus of the state to make sure that the lamp will be lit atop the Thirupparankundram hill as per the orders of the High Court."

On the electricity shortage and the law & order issue in the statement, he says, "This is why we call the TVK the 'DMK 2.0'. Today, we have a lot of issues to deal with in Tamil Nadu. Let it be law and order or a case of the electricity shortage, the power shortage... When we face a crisis, the TVK is trying to divert attention using the Thirupparankundram issue... This is the same mistake the DMK made to cover their mistakes; they tried to toy with the idea of the beliefs of the Hindus. the DMK and TVK are playing by the same playbook... this is not going to help the TVK..."

Fully agree with your views here. It is not easy to start and run a party. In TN, Seaman is an example. The fastest way to make a difference is via Cinema. Party respects him a lot at the National level and he can make a HUGE difference in the Union Cabinet and contribute to TN.
