Five #TTRPG characters I've played
Note: Most I have played as NPCs that originated from character stat blocks.
1. A High Elf wizard (Abjurer) who loved magic and magic items, so he started adventuring to catalog new enchantments and create magic items. He was heir to be a king
@DungeonGlitch GMing is like buying the party a new toy and watching them play with the box - and that's okay. Improv comes in time, so don't try to force it.
I want to cancel my DnD Beyond subscription in the wake of the new OGL stuff, but not all my players know how to do stuff manually.
We already use a free VTT (with dice rolling) and I made my own initiative tracker, so those are not worries.

Is there an alternative for online resources for (online) 5e campaigns?
Preferably one that does character sheets automatically, and the DM should have access to these characters.
Homebrew compatibility is not necessary, but would be handy.

OGL "2.0's" FAQ was leaked to a handful of creators yesterday. In it, they lie about 1.1 being a draft, and hide doubling down on bad choices with a couple partial concessions.
1.0a is the ONLY way forward. It doesn't matter what they give up in any of these "drafts".

People are always like you should reach out for help. But when you do, people often use it against you. Being like oh you're only doing it for attention. People twist it into a bad thing and use it as an excuse to attack someone they happen to not like. And that's messed up.
Before I go to bed, I wanted to say this. I love the art community deeply. When AI artists steal/co-opt art from us I don’t just see art, I see people, mentors and friends. I don’t expect you to understand.

In an ideal world, I shouldn't be working. Cause my health is deteriorating fast. I'm basically sacrificing my lifespan to make money. Just so I can improve my quality of life and not die. If I didn't work, I would have died awhile ago. It's not easy being disabled like me.
Inaccessibility is not just a one-time thing that blocks a disabled person.
It is a continuing harm that excludes, excludes again and then excludes some more.
It is a “Disabled People Keep Out” sign.
@StinkRatsCharms Hi, I'm Todd.
I'm missing my left foot from an accident when I was three, and am currently slowly recovering from familial abuse.
I don't really have any links as of yet, but I do a lot of 5e homebrew stuff. I plan on doing something with it eventually.
My cashapp is $TmOnefoot
To add on to this...
If the conversation comes to music, I hide the language of the music I like to listen to.
I listen to a lot of Japanese rock and pop music - and don't want people to assume I'm a weeb just for liking the music.
@stevenspohn All of it.
I'm disabled and most of my humor is based on it. I play a lot of games with peopleI'm close with.
When meeting new people, I'm next to silent because I have a hard time talking. I'm also good at faking an entire personality at work.
@lynelmilk Power
Specifically, he's a Tiefling Fiend Warlock that wants to overthrow his patron and take the position and power for himself.
But it's not out of greed (kinda) moreso of convenience.
@Mechtronic1 My largest problem with it is that spellcasting is a shared resource with divine smites.
Yes, it makes sense mechanically as the two are both very powerful, but it often ends up as a decision of "do I cast a spell" and "do I smite"
@MissMindykins There's one Paladin subclass that gets Spiritual Weapon as an Oath Spell - Conquest, I think - and honestly I think that's the only Paladin I would really enjoy playing.
If I play Paladin again that's what I'm gonna do.
