A group of neighbours, locals & friends campaigning for faster and fairer climate action & looking to close the loopholes in Ireland's new Climate Bill
The TDs & Senators on #JOCCA have published their report on the draft #ClimateAction Bill.
Their recommendations would greatly strengthen the #ClimateBill. @EamonRyan, @LeoVaradkar & @MichealMartinTD should accept them & bring Bill to Dáil asap in January.

. @MurphyEoghan@OCallaghanJim Unless you can provide clear counter-argument to all of the ways the unnecessary clauses in CETA which prevent Ireland protecting its environmental goals, stop advocating that it is in our interest to ratify this treaty
. @EamonRyan@OCallaghanJim@chrisandrews64 Please ensure this agreement is not signed by Ireland. Read the Seanad’s concerns on how detrimental it would be to climate justice and meeting Ireland’s goals
I’m always in awe of my friend & colleague Paul Deane. Here is a list of his favourite books on energy and climate from 2020

Eamon,
You are literally in the photo of the launch of the civil-society coalition against CETA. I see no mention of CETA in the Programme for Government, so please tell me you have not agreed to ratify CETA tomorrow?

Ireland must not sign CETA! @ Eamon Ryan @SCC_Ireland@OCallaghanJim@chrisandrews64 Check out this great article to see how it will undermine our rights, our farmers, our efforts to stop using fossil fuels

Government is attempting to pass CETA on Tuesday, in the Christmas rush to avoid media & debate. If signed, this trade treaty will allow multinational companies to sue Ireland if we bring in strong climate & social rights protections. It will also likely decimate family farming.
This looks very underhand @MichealMartinTD@LeoVaradkar@EamonRyan. Trying to push the ratification of the CETA trade deal, with its highly controversial rights for big companies to sue the state, in the last sitting days before Christmas, is anti-democratic. #PostponeTheCETAvote
On the day that #CCPI2021 ranked Ireland as a poor #climate performer, hundreds of constituents (almost 1300 registered) met their TDs to ask for better! ✊
@MichealMartinTD@EamonRyan@LeoVaradkar CCPI says we can do better if policy promises are actioned.
So will you act?
Careful now, what’s that flutter in my stomach. It might be hope.
As @GretaThunberg says “Once we start to act, hope is everywhere”.
By the end, over 1,000 people had held 101 meetings with their local TDs, calling for #FasterAndFairer#ClimateAction

We are absolutely delighted to have 3/4 Cork North Central TDs signed up to our #TDLobby this Monday 7th, where we'll be talking about the critical #climatebill. It would be even better to have all of our TDs in attendance - @MickBarryTD, do you think you could spare 20 minutes?
