interesting read, but it's largely semantic argument about overlapping groups of people
goes off the rails at the end
i could go into more detail if you want, but my point still remains - you can draw a straight line (ethnically and religiously) from abraham right up to Jesus and the pharisees - same group of people in general. and followers of that tradition today are considered to be followers of judaism
apparently, i stumbled across a sect of people who believe that the jews in the old testament weren't jews, and Jesus wasn't Jewish
i didn't think that was a real thing
@88JayDeHeretic@GalacticPancaK@TheGlobeIsDead not debating over what tribe makes up modern judaism
pointing out that if you don't think any of the people in the bible were jewish, you're among the dumbest people to ever walk the earth (flat or round)
@88JayDeHeretic@TheGlobeIsDead i don't think they did, I know they did
if you have a different theory of who wrote the old testament, then your bible comprehension is far worse than your grasp of cosmology
@honeybadger7272@NEO196909@TheGlobeIsDead no, I don't believe that the earth could stop suddenly. it's impossible
it's like me asking what would happen if your flat earth suddenly started flipping like a coin
@honeybadger7272@NEO196909@TheGlobeIsDead no, your tiktok hypothetical is not possible. wouldn't say it's funny, though, it's a dumb scenario that could never actually happen
