“Netflix star” is such an absurd way to describe one of the greatest climbers of all time. He scaled the 14 tallest peaks on earth in 189 days. Then he did it all over again without supplemental oxygen. And he served in the British special forces.
The man was a legend and proof that with the right mindset, you can conquer anything.
Before attempting Broad Peak, Nirmal Purja had written -
"If I can successfully climb Broad Peak while staying here, then only ‘Cho Oyu’ will remain. After that, I will become the first person in history to climb all 14 of the world's eight-thousanders twice without the use of supplemental oxygen."
The dream remained unfulfilled.

The last time someone climbed the world’s 14 highest peaks it took them seven years — Nepalese climber @nimsdai is attempting to do it in seven months!
14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible chronicles his awe-inspiring and history-making journey!
I was truly saddened to hear of the tragic death of Nirmal Purja and those who lost their lives in the avalanche on Broad Peak. Nims served with distinction in the British Armed Forces before becoming one of the world’s greatest mountaineers, putting Nepalese climbers on the map. His relentless pursuit of what seemed impossible, combined with his humility and selflessness, made him truly unique. My thoughts are with his family and the families of all those who died. W
