@Thehullboy1@MindCharity Awesome sauce, as my son would say - but times a gazillion, I say!! You smashed it, Marcus πππ you've raised such a huge amount for MIND - not just money but, crucially, awareness. Please have a bloody good rest now, before you think about how you can possibly top that xx
@maddenifico I see such a gulf between Harris and Trump in terms of the humanity and empathy they show and express - it's so genuine from Kamala. I may be naive in thinking it, but surely her compassion for others can only be a good thing in a leader. Trump scares me.
@SecondGentleman Happy 60th, @VP - birthday greetings from England xx It's so refreshing to see your love for one another expressed with openness and authenticity xx
@JaneyGodley Thinking of you and your family, Janey β€οΈ Thank you for your honesty, integrity, goodness and humour. A life well lived and hugely loved xx
This is Heman Bekele.
Time just named him their "Kid of the Year" after he invented a bar of soap that can treat skin cancer.
It all started when received a chemistry set as a gift when he was 7 years old. After his family immigrated to America, he noticed that back home in Ethiopia people would work for long hours outdoorsy exposing themselves to dangerous amounts of UV rays, without any protective covering.
That made him curious about skin cancer. At 14 years old, he developed a bar of soap that has nanoparticles containing a drug called imiquimod, which is approved to treat some forms of cancer. His soap helps ensure that the drug stays on the skin at a "very molecular level" even when the soap is washed off.
Rather than making millions of dollars, his bar of soap costs just 50 cents, and he plans to create a non-profit to distribute it to communities in need.
When he's not attending high school, he does research at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore
He's only 15.
This helps no one. It does not honour the victims' or their families or anyone grieving right now. I only see thugs lashing out and causing chaos in the name of patriotism. Many of them seem to find it amusing. It's shameful and heartbreaking.
BREAKING: Clashes erupt between police and a large group outside a mosque in Southport following yesterday's attacks. Police vans have been set on fire, and one officer has been injured.
Merseyside Police have released a statement condemning the 'sickening' violence

@PaulBrandITV How does this chaos in any way help the traumatised families and their neighbourhood? All I can see are people who want to stoke hate, getting a buzz from lashing out. PLEASE let the victims' families and all those who need to grieve do so in peace.
