One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022)

One of the original football fanzines in the 90s - called it a day end of 2021/22 season

Great times - great memories

If/when we win the Europa League we'll be the second team in history to go 2/2 in our first two European campaigns

The only other team to do it was the legendary Real Madrid side of the 1950s in the first two years of UEFA competitions

@420Burnard @CFO4TAG It's ALWAYS the time 😆

@sid_lambert So many truly great goals have been scored at Selhurst over the years .....

....most of them for the away team 🫣🫣😤

@TheTrader_76 @shitbritishpics Wow - had no idea about this but you are right. Just seen that he has a husband now

Will also partly explain why Jordan was frustrated that he never made a move on her (according to one of her books she wrote)

@FBAwayDays Many times now

Seen wins for Palace in 4 different comps

Seen wins for NY Jets & NY Giants in NFL

And even had a nice win on Black Hornet in Trap 5 back when they had greyhound racing there in the old Wembley 😆

@TheTrader_76 @shitbritishpics No. Jordan was her 'fame name' from the start of her modelling

Kind of fell perfectly for her to be part of Team Jordan in 1998

Also helped her get dating Ralf Schumacher for a while

@MarcWilliams22 Very good 😆👍🏻

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@RahimH94 @DownToTen The phrase 'crystal palace' was a nickname in one of the national papers (possibly the Telegraph IIRC) for the great glass exhibition centre in 1851

The whole structure got relocated from Hyde Park to Sydenham and the area got the name Crystal Palace from that

@color4d @Palace120462 Yeh, I want those guys back

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@stevebhafc1 @jane36london @davelewis22 Yet they remembered they were only dealing with Palace when they tried to steal Olise for £35M!

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@localpalplastic Were you in Dallas in November 1963? 🤔

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@stevebhafc1 @jane36london @davelewis22 Fair. Lord knows who your salesperson is but that guy/girl just takes the piss

God knows how you get a 50% uplift on all sales while Palace still sell using the 2018 rate card 😩

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@XolidCity Every single time when it's this question 😳

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@KippaxKids @Jenny_1884 Andy Cushing

Comedian & thug rolled into one

Played for London Scottish in the 80s

Would be in the middle of rugby match in PE, then stop so he could go & chat up Margaret the dinner lady as she walked up the school drive arriving for her shift 😆

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@stevebhafc1 @jane36london @davelewis22 Yup - you somehow managed to find even worse owners than Palace in the late 90s

That took some doing!!

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@stevebhafc1 @jane36london @davelewis22 Yeh, that happened

Back in the time when your team were also poorly run

Palace have been a very sustainably run (some would say overly cautious at times) club for 16 years now

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@SE25EZE @LouieFrederick_ Anyone who'd been a fan for more than say five years knew this was a special manager/team combo

A lot of high character personalities to go with on field skill

Even the great 91 era had bickering and cliques off the pitch

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@Papi_Golf @_SC00T @ProFootballTalk +2 Superbowl MVPs

And he did all that in the earlier section of his career

Not many players have 2 Superbowl MVPs in their first 8 season

[One More Point: Crystal Palace Fanzine (1993-2022) @OneMorePoint1]

@JxmesCPFC Spring 2025 was just great

Even going back to January and that great away form

Love that period

17th May 2025 was the pinnacle 😁💪🏻⚽

@BartonTownFC Yeeeess!! Get in! 💪🏻⚽🦢
