@r3tarddownunder@zoecabina@NoticerNews I don’t agree with her (Zoe) humor standards, or at least the way she frames them. But disagreeing with someone doesn’t automatically make them a tard. She’s claiming to be pragmatic, we need more of that.
@isaacrrr7 Lo mismo que:
- los burgueses para el proletariado
- los capitalistas para los zurdos
- los individualistas para los colectivistas
- los que creen en la iguladad ante la ley para los que creen en la igualdad de clases
- etc...
Triunfan en lo moral.
@goodfoodgal Some criminal behavior is worse than other, that's fairly evident, but the issue is the label. This crap turns different levels of crime into the same one under the "hate crime" blanket term. So road rage may be classified on the same plane as assault. Typical of collectivist.
@PatrioticAussie Totalitarian left and right, please read this carefully and use your God-given critical thinking before jumping to conclusions:
"Rapid and mass diversity".
That statement isn't the same as "no immigration", "JUST WHITE!", etc.
Thanks.
There are men who point out the totalitarian aspects of your posture without referring to name calling. Are you going to "name-call them" and classify them as "weak" too? There is no guise, you're just in denial:
1) That a baby in the womb until a certain age isn't an independent being. It can't be removed from the mother and stay alive no matter how much science you apply. It literally is a part of the mother, and as much as you may not like the choice, it's hers to take (what to do with her body).
2) That there is a life sentence for an unborn child that isn't always favorable for the child, and it's OK to analyze that.
@zoecabina It may help if you clarify:
You don't find jokes about stereotypical addictions and primitive behavior funny or just when it refers to aboriginals?
Taleb nails it on why classical stats blow up in fat-tailed worlds. One outlier really can dominate everything and averages become useless where it actually matters. But the real mistake is treating Extremistan as some kind of warning that we should pull back into caution and humility and stop creating new knowledge.
The right move isnt just dodging ruin with barbell strategies or heuristics (vía negativa). It’s keeping on with bold conjecture and error correction to build better explanations that let us understand anticipate and even tame these domains.
Wealth isnt some random lottery thrown up by Extremistan. Its the direct product of creative knowledge. One strong explanation like the scientific method or double-entry bookkeeping or the joint-stock company or semiconductor physics can dominate the whole distribution of human prosperity the same way Taleb says one event can dominate the bad side.
Over-emphasising how unpredictable everything is risks sliding into the idea that “you cant really know anything so dont try too hard”. That undercuts the very process that keeps expanding what we can achieve.
@KonstantinKisin Garry is old and unfortunately, as ironic as it seems (given his comment you’re quoting), the soviets got to him a lot more than he realizes.
@laderechadiario Son los dos corrientes totalitarias, y se encuentran ahí. Es solo cuando un colectivista elimina todo individualismo que finalmente se atacan entre sí. Ya pasó tantas veces en la historia.
@jasonpizzino@OzPollies Stay tuned, the drums of labor unions are just over the hill. Funny (but sad) how they become relevant when socialism destroys the price signal.
