Man Charged After Islamophobic Arson Attack on Dublin Mosque: "I don't care if children died"
A man has been charged with arson after setting fire to the entrance of the Al-Madinah Prayer Hall on Talbot Street, Dublin, on Monday, shortly after worshippers finished Dhuhr prayer. Saeid Khosroabadi, 41, an Iranian national, was arrested and told gardaí he opposed sharia law in Ireland. He is accused of dousing the mosque's entrance with petrol and igniting it while several people, including children, were inside. No injuries were reported, though the prayer hall and an adjoining coffee shop were badly damaged.
Judge Michele Finan refused bail, citing fears Khosroabadi may target the mosque again, and remanded him in custody ahead of a Circuit Court hearing. The case comes amid mounting alarm over anti-Muslim hostility in Ireland, weeks after men were convicted of plotting to bomb a Galway mosque, and days after a separate assault on Muslim community members in Dublin.
Elon Musk is facing backlash after promoting Citizen Vigilante to his more than 240 million followers on X, giving a major platform to a film critics have described as anti-migrant and anti-Muslim propaganda.
The controversial film, directed by Uwe Boll and starring Armie Hammer, follows an American businessman living in Europe who embarks on a campaign of vigilante killings after claiming the justice system has failed to deal with crimes committed by migrants.
Throughout the film, migrants, particularly Muslims are repeatedly portrayed as violent predators, while the protagonist argues that Europe is collapsing under immigration and warns that if politicians fail to act, “we the people will end it ourselves.”
As the story escalates, the vigilante murders alleged criminals, judges and police officers he views as collaborators, before the film culminates in the execution of an entire Muslim family after their son is accused of rape.
The film’s director claims Germany’s ratings board refused to classify Citizen Vigilante after determining it could incite violence against migrants, effectively blocking its commercial release there.
Despite this, Musk shared the full film on X for free, dramatically boosting its reach and later posting: “Citizen Vigilante 2 will be even better.”
Musk’s promotion has intensified concerns over the amplification of anti-migrant rhetoric on social media, with critics warning that giving one of the world’s largest platforms to content glorifying vigilante violence risks normalising dangerous extremist narratives.
"I didn't have an exact moment that I said, 'I'm going to become Muslim.'"
Australian Socceroo and World Cup player Tete Yengi has shared the story of how he accepted Islam.
While visiting a mosque in his hometown of Adelaide, Yengi unexpectedly met Mufti Menk after Jumu'ah prayer.
"When I shook Mufti Menk's hand, he said, 'Have you taken your Shahada yet?' I said, 'Nah, not yet.' He said, 'You want to do it now?' I said, 'I can't say no.' So I just took my Shahada there with him."
"We are Muslims, we are here for a short time (on earth), everything is about Allah and thanking Him."
Moroccan defender Issa Diop reflected on faith following Morocco's victory over the Netherlands, reminding supporters that success is ultimately a blessing from Allah.
Palestinian goalkeeper Saleem Al-Ashqar, 32, was shot dead by Israeli forces in Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, the Palestinian Football Association confirmed. Al-Ashqar played for Khadamat Khan Younis, having previously represented Al-Aqsa and Al-Masdar clubs during his career in Gaza.
He had been married for just five months and his wife was expecting their first child. His death brings the number of Palestinian sports community members killed since October 2023 to 1,009, including 567 footballers, according to WAFA.
Morocco's players fall into sajda in emotional scenes after sealing a dramatic 3-2 penalty shootout win over the Netherlands at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It is the latest moment of faith on display from a Moroccan side that has consistently turned to prayer before and after matches throughout the tournament.
Media Ignores UN Inquiry Finding Israel Deliberately Targeted Palestinian Children
A four-year-old girl shot by an Israeli military quadcopter while eating with her family in a displacement camp. A 15-year-old boy killed by a sniper while carrying a white flag during an evacuation in Khan Younis, his brother shot dead moments later trying to reach him. A 10-day-old infant shot in the head while being breastfed inside a tent. The car carrying six-year-old Hind Rajab struck with approximately 335 rounds of gunfire, killing her family, herself, and the paramedics dispatched to rescue her.
These are not allegations from activists or partisan sources. They are documented case studies from a two-year investigation by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, published on 23 June 2026. The Commission reviewed witness testimony, medical records, and CT scans, finding injuries forensically consistent with children being deliberately targeted by snipers. Its conclusion was unambiguous: Israel is deliberately killing children as part of an ongoing genocide in Gaza. Nearly 30 per cent of all people killed in Gaza since October 2023 were children, totalling at least 20,179 deaths and 44,143 injuries. The Commission named specific IDF brigades and units responsible for individual killings. The report is public. The evidence is documented. The units are named.

American political commentator Tucker Carlson publicly renounces his past anti-Muslim rhetoric, admitting that his previous claims about Islam and Muslims were false.
In an interview with Sky News, Carlson said, “I was hysterical. I believed that. No, that's not true. Nothing about that is true, but I believed it,”
The conservative also criticised Donald Trump's Iran policy, condemned aspects of Israel's current government, and argued that support for Western civilisation does not require support for Israel.
Carlson further declared that the MAGA movement is “definitely over” and ruled out any future presidential run.
Apple's iPhone 17e contains a Chip Developed in Israel. Here's Why Consumers Are Worried
Apple's latest budget smartphone, the iPhone 17e, has drawn global scrutiny after reports confirmed that its cellular modem and wireless chip were designed at Apple's R&D facilities in Haifa and Herzliya, Israel. The revelation comes less than two years after Israeli intelligence agency Mossad carried out Operation Grim Beeper, a supply chain attack in which explosives were secretly embedded into thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies before being detonated remotely across Lebanon, killing over 40 people and injuring more than 4,000, including civilians and children. The attack proved that Israeli intelligence holds both the willingness and the technical capability to compromise communication hardware at the point of design, long before a device reaches its user.
For many consumers, the link to the iPhone 17e is difficult to ignore. Tech companies have already been implicated in Israeli military operations, with Palantir software confirmed to have been deployed during Operation Grim Beeper, and broader allegations levelled at firms supplying infrastructure used in Israeli operations in Gaza, a conflict now before the International Court of Justice on war crimes charges. For a growing number of ethically minded consumers globally, the question is no longer just about data privacy. It is more fundamental: can a device with hardware designed in Israel ever be fully trusted?
After scoring his first World Cup goal, Moroccan forward Gessime Yassine received an unexpected message from defender Noussair Mazraoui.
"Go home, perform Wudu, pray two Rak'ahs, and thank Allah."
The exchange, captured on camera and shared widely across social media, has drawn an outpouring of praise from fans around the world. For many, the moment stood out not for what it celebrated, but for what it redirected attention toward: gratitude over glory, faith over fame.
It is a sentiment that has come to define Morocco's national team, a squad that has consistently made its Islamic values visible on the world stage, from post-match prayers to public declarations of faith.
UN Special Rapporteur Francesca

A UN inquiry published on 23 June 2026 has found that Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children as part of an ongoing genocide in Gaza, along with crimes against humanity and war crimes in both Gaza and the West Bank. The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which first concluded last year that Israel was committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, has now documented the systematic nature of that targeting in extensive detail, drawing on medical evidence, witness testimony, and forensic analysis. Commission Chair Srinivasan Muralidhar stated that even after the October 2025 ceasefire, children continue to be killed and seriously injured, with Israel showing continued disregard for its obligations under international law.
The report details a wide pattern of harm against Palestinian children, including mass displacement, starvation caused by Israel's ongoing blockade, the destruction of hospitals, orphanages and schools, sexual violence, and the detention and torture of minors in Israeli facilities with no information provided to families on their whereabouts. The Commission found that attacks on maternity and neonatal care centres have directly impacted Palestinian reproductive futures, contributing to rises in miscarriages and birth defects. It concluded that by systematically targeting children, Israel is eroding the demographic and social foundations of Palestinian society, undermining the Palestinian people's capacity to exercise their right to self-determination. The Commission has called on Israel to immediately cease all violations against Palestinian children and has urged the international community to enforce accountability.
