3/ I had Coleman higher, and think he would have been a good fit, but Polk fits what I think they are trying to do. Once Buffalo picked Coleman they moved back to play the board.
Like the #Polk pick for the #Patriots
I thought he'd return to be a true #1. Good on contested catches, very good in the air & through contact. Elusive with the ball in his hands. Smart player. Cont:
2/ Runs good routes which means he can probably be a big slot inside. Very productive when it counted (over 60% of his catches went for a first down or TD). Think Anquan Bolden.
DRAFT DAY! I did a Q&A earlier this week for @BostonSportsBSJ members talking all things #NFLDraft, prospects, and the #Patriots
Hope springs eternal!

2/2 Harbaugh could come up to #3, trade back a few slots (more picks) & get his guy from Michigan, #JJMcCarthy
Pats get their QB1 for the future.
Harbaugh get his QB of the future, some cap relief, & restocks their draft inventory to build the roster with his guys #NFLDraft2024
Odds might be low but the Patriots should call the Chargers about Herbert.
Yes, logic is that Harbaugh took the job BECAUSE of the QB.
But they're in cap jail with an aging roster. If Pats gave their Rd1 in '24, another pick in '24, & Rd 1 in '25 the Chargers should listen. 1/1
A lot of future NFL talent in the #CollegeFootballPlayoff games today. @AlabamaFTBL has the most high end talent but @UMichFootball has the most prospects and a bunch of local New England kids on their roster. @MikeSainristil is a guy we’ve covered for a couple of years.
I think the #CollegeFootballPlayoff should be:
1) Michigan - best team so far, undefeated
2) UW - made it through PAC-12 gauntlet, undefeated
3) UT - beat Bama on the road by 10 pts, 1 loss
4) FSU - undefeated in a P5 conference. Beat 2 SEC schools (LSU/Florida)
The games matter.
@BBordenick Don’t agree. Yes, there will be arguments. Yes, fan bases will be unhappy. But all of those teams will have multiple loses. It’s like March Madness. These are the one seeds. If you’re arguing if you should have been a 3 or 4 seed (or last out) then you should have won more.
@BrianGreenburg@TheRoyalePain Great 1st stat. But if I follow that logic then you can’t penalize FSU for winning all their games. Can only play the games on the schedule & LSU was #5 to start. Same logic applies to penalizing UT for beating Bama.
If you asked me the best matchups to watch it includes Bama.
@TheRoyalePain I love the SEC as much as anyone but Bama’s best win before yesterday was LSU. FSU beat them by a larger margin on a neutral field. I’m not arguing Bama isn’t better right now, they most certainly are, but if the criteria is most deserving.
Lastly, from an #NFLDraft perspective lots of talent across these 4 teams. FSU losing QB Travis hurts their ability to win it all, but they are a talented team. They have 2 1sts + a top RB + a handful of who will get drafted. Hard to penalize those guys when they won every game.
Crazy to think an SEC school wouldn’t make it & I’d love to see Bama (and UGA is great too) but that's why they always needed to expand the playoff. It was a matter of time before this happened - the SEC just never thought it would impact them. Next year's format, Bama gets a bye
Lot of NFL talent on the field in this #PennState#OhioState game. One guy who I think is underrated & needs to have a big 2nd half for the Nittany Lions is OLB #20 Adisa Isaac.
He can get to the QB. Look for him to make a couple big plays if they win #NFLDraft2023#Patriots
