@RadLordLewd But of course that's an individual preference sort of thing. Doesn't really work with all types of games and the devs clearly didn't feel it necessary to the narrative experience

@RadLordLewd I agree I don't think they're ever needed. I can think of plenty games where fail states aren't a necessity. But they can be a help in making the player feel more essential to the experience.

@RadLordLewd Just my interpretation but I think her issue is a lack of real fails state. It's not really about every little interaction or input needing to matter, bit for a segment like this at least having a game over for a certain amount of fails to insensitive playing well.
