@ItsJustMatthewR Audience going into the theater: That's Jabba The Hutts son! He must be exactly like his father.
Stinky: I'm not like my father. I'm my own man.
Audience: ๐ฒ No way! That's crazy! This is so good guys.
@ADonutHolesHole Yeah, it makes sense in the logic of his journey, but it's also a wink at the audience to say, "Here's the Luke Skywalker you wanted last movie ๐". As a Last Jedi fan, this was a very eyeroll moment.
@SirSnipeyy Oh actually, it was probably Tarkin's book, if not both. I believe Tarkin was being written pre-acquisition so it's more explicitly connected there.
@SirSnipeyy I think if I remember correctly, there's actually some crossover into Star Wars: Catalyst since it was written by James Luceno. It's probably inconsequential. Cool to think about though.
@paradoomed I think if anything this highlights the fact that Leon is a dingus who forgot that he owned a whole ass Jeep, while Claire had the brains to remember that she owned a motorcycle.
Luke and Anakin were in their early 20s rescuing pretty women from cool armies. The Mandalorian is cool looking but a 50 year old with no romantic interests fighting against the same guys from the 80s while being a single dad is the most boomer coded story you could think of.
