"Lost in the silence, but finding strength in the space 🌃. Every sunrise is a reminder that even the darkest nights end. 💪 #HealingInSolitude#NewBeginnings"
In 2020, all I had was ₦20,000 I made from my days of playing Bet9ja.
My girlfriend at the time, who is now my wife, was a fresher at the University of Ibadan and needed some money to start a business.
I honestly didn’t think twice.
I sent her the money and supported her as she started her perfume business.
Later that same year, I made some really bad decisions.
A friend and I took money from some friends to trade with, and we lost everything.
We ran into serious debts, and things became crazy.
I had to sell almost everything I had.
I was depressed.
I got to a point where I considered selling one of my kidneys just to pay off the debts.
I even considered suicide.
Yeah, it was that terrible.
But while all of this was happening, something else was happening too.
My girlfriend’s business was growing.
And not just growing a little.
It was doing really well.
She was young. Beautiful. A student. She had her own money. She had every reason to walk away from a man who had nothing to offer at that point.
But she stayed.
She took care of me.
She fed me.
She clothed me.
She supported me.
She stood by me through what was probably the lowest point of my life.
Looking back now, I realise that she could have left.
There were probably many women who would have.
She had enough reasons to choose herself and walk away.
But she didn’t.
She stayed.
Today, when I think about the woman I have beside me, I don’t just see my wife.
I see the young girl who believed in me when I had nothing.
I remember those sacrifices.
I remember those difficult days.
And I just want to say:
Thank you, my woman. ❤️
Thank you for staying.
Thank you for believing.
Thank you for loving me when loving me wasn’t convenient.
I will never forget.
Greed trading and disciplined trading are two completely different things.
If you’re up and happy with the profits you’ve made, be strong enough to sell, take the win, and move on. That’s discipline.
If you always try to squeeze the maximum out of every coin, you’ll eventually turn a win into a loss, or sell for $100 profit when you were up $1,000.
Stop the greed. Get disciplined.
That’s how you become more consistent and build wealth in a safer way.
“My Daughter Has Sickle Cell Because of a Foolish Mistake I Made Due to Religion”
— Nigerian man laments what his whole family is now suffering after his daughter was born with sickle cell.
The man was once a devout religious person who lived his life strictly by the Bible, or so he thought at the time.
He says he and his wife dated for three years no sex, though they knew they had AS.
He reassured himself that God would not allow them to have a child with sickle cell disease because he has been devout and obedient to God. However, looking back now, he regrets his decision to marry the lady knowing she is AS genotype just like him, as this has plunged the whole family into hardship especially as they struggle with the reality of his daughter’s illness.
Silent Symptoms of High Blood Pressure You Shouldn’t Ignore
High blood pressure (hypertension) is often called the “silent killer” because it doesn’t always show obvious symptoms. Many people walk around with dangerously high blood pressure without realizing it.
Unchecked high blood pressure damages vital organs, including the heart, kidneys, and brain. Over time, it increases your risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, and even vision loss.
So it is important to check regularly or if you’re experiencing these symptoms persistently:
1. Persistent Headaches
Regular headaches, especially in the morning, could signal rising blood pressure. If over-the-counter medications don’t help, it’s time to check your BP.
Forex isn't a scam. The dream being sold is often the problem.
Forex didn't start today. It's been around for decades. The market is the same whether you're in Nigeria, South Africa, the UK, or the United States. There's nothing like "Nigerian Forex." What Nigeria has experienced is the rise of Forex influencing, not a different version of the market.
And that's where many people get it wrong.
Forex is one of the hardest professions you can choose. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme. If it were, everyone would be rich by now. Only a small percentage of traders ever become consistently profitable. That alone should tell you this isn't child's play.
So why does it seem like everyone is suddenly a Forex mentor?
Simple.
Most people don't discover Forex through reality, they discover it through fantasy.
They see luxury cars, vacations, screenshots of profits, designer clothes, and captions like, "I made this before breakfast." Naturally, they get excited. They buy a course, learn a strategy, draw a few lines on a chart, and believe the money will start flowing.
Then reality arrives.
The market doesn't care about your excitement.
The strategy they bought doesn't magically make them profitable. They begin to lose trades. They realize that the real battle isn't even the strategy, it's themselves.
Fear.
Greed.
Revenge trading.
Impatience.
Overconfidence.
These are the things that destroy traders, and unfortunately, no course can fully teach you how to conquer them. That's a journey every trader has to take alone.
After spending money on courses and losing money in the market, many people decide they need another way to recover their investment. So they package the same strategy they learned into a new course and begin teaching others.
The new students repeat exactly the same cycle.
They buy the course.
They learn the strategy.
They enter the market.
Reality humbles them.
Then they become teachers too.
Before long, we've stopped producing Forex traders and started producing Forex instructors.
It's almost like we've turned Forex into a College of Education—everyone is graduating as a lecturer before becoming a professional trader.
But here's the important part:
None of this makes Forex a scam.
The market isn't the problem.
The unrealistic expectations are.
Think about it.
A doctor spends six to eight years in school before earning the trust to treat patients.
Lawyers spend years studying before standing confidently in court.
Engineers dedicate years to mastering their craft.
Yet some people believe they'll watch a few YouTube videos, draw support and resistance lines for two weeks, and start making $10,000 every month.
It doesn't work that way.
Forex rewards skill, discipline, patience, emotional control, and thousands of hours of experience.
That's why I don't recommend Forex to everyone.
Not because it's fake.
Because it's difficult.
It's like professional football. Everyone loves watching football, but very few people have what it takes to play at the highest level. Talent alone isn't enough. You need discipline, sacrifice, consistency, and resilience.
Trading is no different.
If you're not willing to go through that process, you'll probably quit.
But if you're passionate, patient, and willing to keep learning even after countless setbacks, there's absolutely no reason you can't become profitable.
And let me burst one more bubble.
Some of the most profitable traders in Nigeria don't post daily profit screenshots.
They don't argue online.
They don't chase followers.
They quietly make their money, close their laptops, and go to bed.
That doesn't mean everyone posting online is fake. Some influencers genuinely make money from trading too.
The point is simply this:
Forex isn't a scam.
The shortcuts, the false promises, and the illusion that it's easy, that's what misleads people.
The market rewards competence, not confidence.
And that's a reality every trader eventually learns.
"All of a sudden, he now changed"
This is how women put themselves in a position to be victims to deceive the masses.
No man starts showing you his character after marriage. He has been showing you who he was when you guys where dating but you chose to ignore the red flags because he was spending money on you and we all know that's the average Nigerian woman definition of love.
These broke women marry men twice their age, tolerate abuse and disrespect because of money but all of a sudden, when they have enjoyed their money for a while and are fed up with the abuse, they come out to claim to be victims?
Ask yourself; is she imprisoned in his house? Because if she was, she will definitely not have access to her phone or the internet which means she can choose to leave any day and at anytime but still, she has chosen to stay because she knows she's a broke woman who'll probably die of hunger if she leaves her husband.
Her aim is to use foolish Nigerians brain to gofund for her so she can start life on her terms rather than being under her husband's authority.
No mentally stable woman opens her phone, cry and post it online. If she's truly tired of abuse, she would have left a long time ago.
The same way a man who married a hoe is punished and has to deal with the consequences of his choice of a pattern, the same applies to a woman who married wrong. You made your bed, now lie in it.
Women should start bearing the consequences of their actions.
At the end of the day, she's not a victim.
Take a crying woman seriously at your own peril.
