I can be the most understanding person in the world, but I am not blind to patterns. I can forgive mistakes, give chances, and understand your struggles, but repeated toxic behavior will eventually drain even the most patient heart. There comes a moment when I stop explaining, stop tolerating, and stop trying to make excuses for what keeps hurting me. And when I reach that point, don’t expect the same patience I once gave so freely.
The best way to honour someone who did a lot for you but regressed into someone you can no longer respect, is to remember the best version of them and be thankful for what they did for you. Even if they ultimately failed you, they gave you a great gift as proof of their love.
If you really locked in with somebody, you move different. Yeah, you grown, you can do whatever, but some things you just don’t do outta respect for your person. Ain’t about them controlling you or being insecure, it’s about loyalty and boundaries. Before you pull a move, ask yourself if you’d be cool with them doing it to you. If not, sit yo ass down .
