August 1st is a remarkable day for me. It was the day I decided to follow JESUS. It has been some years, and I can confidently say that JESUS IS SWEET.
Following Him has been the best decision of my life so far.
If there's one thing I want you to take away from this, it's this same words:
Over the past couple of months, I've come to a realization that genuinely surprised me.
I think it's something many of us as young people have misunderstood.
A while ago, I was listening to a podcast when the guest said something that wouldn't leave my mind. He said:
So maybe it's time we stop running away from responsibilities, whether it's at home, at work, in church, or anywhere else life places us.
The responsibilities that seem inconvenient today may be preparing us for opportunities we've been praying for.
There's something God has been doing from the very beginning, long before any of us got here. Yeah, that's what is called "His purpose."
And it's because of that purpose that your life and mine also have purpose. We're part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Always remember this: your purpose isn't just about you. It's connected to God's bigger plan and His grand story.
God is writing a beautiful story, and He has given you the opportunity to play a role in it.
So, If you're thinking about giving up right now, please don't...
I don't think the availability of grace automatically makes someone irresponsible.
Here's what I mean: if you're in a season where God is calling you to pray more, He often makes the grace for prayer available. In those moments...
you may find that praying is actually easier than not praying. But at the end of the day, the choice to pray is still yours.
I think this applies to every area of the Christian walk, whether it's prayer, giving, fasting, or even how we respond during difficult seasons.
You'd have come to a point in life as a believer, where you make up your mind that no matter what happens to you, you'll never stop doing these three things;
Praying
Praising God
And believing in God's word and promises to you.
As believers, time management really matters. Not in a productivity-hustle kind of way, but in a way that keeps our hearts aligned.
For me, it comes down to three things:
