@markintime @helloalegria Choose working from home. Choose emailing in your pants. Choose being just as productive but gaining back your commute time. Choose coffee at £5 a bag not £5 a cup. Choose not having to hear "doing anything nice at the weekend". Choose a better life.
@flying_rodent If he thinks people hate AI now, wait until the bubble bursts and drags many big tech companies with it and possibly triggers another global recession.
Being in AI in 2027/2028 or whenever it happens is going to be like being in banking immediately post 2008.
@_bezpilotnik@dandouglas Why does he think a person working at Greggs would say ‘It’s only allowed on breakfasts’ when they don’t sell breakfast?
Does he think they’re doing it to wind him up, like him specifically, because they know who he is?
@EllaJakobson@ZackPolanski@vicderbyshire It might not be exactly what you are looking for (no live comments), but Mark Steel did a 2 part interview with Zack on his podcast. Comes in at and hour and a half in total. Link is to Spotify but it will be "available wherever you get your podcasts "

@flying_rodent Hmmm, this article made me have many thoughts and none of them positive.
The list is highly specific, so suspiciously so, that I imagine this is either some highly targeted workplace bullying or it’s been written as a bet.
@JudgeDewie Generally speaking, I don’t think it is at helpful to mock people in distress, especially if they find themselves in difficult circumstances, even if they’re self inflicted one...
That’d said, nazi’s crying like little bitches at their own comeuppance will never not be funny 🤣
Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I don’t!
But apparently today is my #MyTwitterAnniversary
…it’s been twelve years. Oh boy, a lot has change in that time, including on this fine high quality, website/App.
Here’s to another twel… *sigh* …yeah. Woo.
@JudgeDewie Directed by Paul Verhoeven, who of course, made those other famously not political at all sci-fi movies such as [checks notes] Total Recall and Starship Troopers.
😐
The shrinkage of Dyson is understandable. How many of us would say that we "made the mistake" of buying a Dyson floor-cleaner, eventually gave up on it, threw it away and bought a "Henry" or equivalent?
I’ve got a Kingston USB flash drive from the early 2000s that is 1gb. Then it was the biggest flash drive available.
I got it through the place I worked at the time. It was so expensive I had to get specific written permission from our director of finance to purchase it.
@bushontheradio Teas made, a dolly in a knitted dress for the spare toilet roll, AND those little cloths on the sofa to stop you getting hair product on the sofa.
@flying_rodent Who can say. It’s not like any of his former advisors worked at large US health care companies and I’m sure the health secretary’s previously rumoured links to private health care companies, through those large donations were not supposed to talk about are entirely coincidental.
