Discussions covered the Hunter Class Frigate Program, #AUKUS Pillar 1 and BAE Systems' Global Supply Chain Programme.

Today was a very special day, as alongside other British Consuls-General in Australia, I attended a service and laid a wreath to commemorate 80 years since VJ Day, or VP Day, as it is known in Australia.

Arthur was one of the lucky ones, though his PoW experiences stayed with him for a lifetime.

Today my Dad and brother attend a VJ Day commemoration in the UK to remember Grandad. As I laid a wreath at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance, I was proudly thinking of my Grandad.

Today, British Consul-Generals across Australia attended remembrance ceremonies to commemorate those who fought for freedom in the Pacific during the Second World War.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
