You don't hear about this bc it is specifically related to adding protected bike lanes and its illegal in the usa to imply that infringing on people's god given right to 8-lane residential roads might be necessary for traffic safety
@EO_Farmer@mdb2 In WW2 when the government realized that malnourished kids grew up into malnourished soldiers which isn't great for our national security.
Tim Walz scandal update:
Stolen valor after retiring as a different rank than he served as due to a technicality
Defensive coordinators aren't real coaches
Lying about low spice tolerance because he once ate chili powder
Prevents son from walking into teleprompter
@YPumWey_ @natsechobbyist @chrislhayes I always love this take, it's just so silly. "Most people disagree with me, therefore majority rule is inherently bad." There's just no substance to the argument other than "minority rule is good when I'm in the minority."
Free Lunch is, btw , one of like three education policies that has actual evidence that it boosts educational achievement in any reliable or scalable way. If we were serious about that we would have it nationwide rather than endless “reform” fads.
"I really feel sorry for the suffering of the people of Gaza, but we should all remember: they elected Hamas 18 years ago."
Half of the population wasn't even alive 18 years ago.
Demanding that families evacuate and then bombing them as they leave—does this create the same moral outrage as Hamas’ attacks? I thought we had all agreed that killing children in cold blood was pure evil.
We may be witnessing the total obliteration of Gaza.
Political leaders refusing to speak out should feel eternal shame over the horror they are allowing to unfold.
Those of us who believe in peace cannot stay silent. We must say to the Palestinian people: you are not alone.
@joneser__ @mattrellen @JoshuaPHilll The PA recognizes Israel and doesn't launch terrorist attacks, but that hasn't stopped Israel from continuing to build settlements and displace Palestinians in the West Bank. Whose to say Israel wouldn't also displace people in Gaza regardless of Hamas?
I feel like I'm going mad, every politician is like "the killing of civilians is never acceptable and that's why we must stand with Israel as it drops apartment blocks on children."
@HughesRJ@tlaw03@PatrickKeschl@ninaturner This is true, no one could afford to buy anything back when factory workers could afford to support a family on one income.
