Exactly 2 months ago, everything I anticipated in this thread has come to fruition with even worse results.
I am sitting here looking at my spreadsheets with the dollar at N910, my rents have been increased by 40% across every location, operating costs x 2, customer purchasing power reduced by 50% and you begin to wonder what Magic you can do.
Cutting salaries is not even an option as staff need to receive increases to accommodate cost of living adjustments.
Marketing costs have doubled and as an entrepreneur in Nigeria, access to credit is virtually non existent. My friends lament how their banks sit around and collect POS charges but disappear when they walk into these banking halls seeking credit facilities to keep them operational.
Nigeria is basically a swimming pool for happy looking children with sharks, snakes, leopards and wild animals biting or eating your legs off while you attempt to have fun in the pool.
What's the way forward ?
