Born #OTD, Karl Goldmark (1830-1915) became an immensely succesful composer of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. His most influential opera, The Queen of Sheba is part of #OperaBudapest repertoire, his other works were compiled as ballet music for The Taming of the Shrew.
