Another motorcyclist was killed in a collision last night. Investigators believe another vehicle turned in front of the path of the motorcycle resulting in a collision.
64-year-old motorcyclist is dead. 41-year-old driver with two children in the other vehicle were not injured.
Investigation ongoing. #BurlingtonOPP.

UPDATE - CHARGES LAID: Two drivers charged from racing collision on #Hwy401 WB express, west of Renforth Drive, Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 12:00pm.
One of the drivers, a resident of New York who was involved in the collision, has been charged with dangerous driving - causing bodily harm and #StuntDriving. The second driver fled the scene, he was located and was arrested and also charged with dangerous driving - causing bodily harm and #StuntDriving. ^ks
Vehicles racing reported on WB #Hwy401 express lanes near Renforth Drive - 12:10pm Sunday, May 31. One of the racing vehicles struck a person who was standing outside of his vehicle that had stopped on the shoulder. He was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. Any witnesses are asked to call #MississaugaOPP at 905-858-8670. The investigation is ongoing, charges are pending. ^ks

Today, Inspector Neamtz of #TorontoOPP represented the #OPP at the Law Enforcement Agencies & Partners Protecting Seniors (LEAPPS) Conference.
As part of a panel discussion on leadership actions to support vulnerable older adults in Ontario, she highlighted the work the OPP is doing to enhance support, protection, and advocacy for seniors.

Stunt Driver in St Catharines:
A #BurlingtonOPP member from the Niagara detachment was conducting proactive speed enforcement on the #QEW Fort Erie bound near Seventh St in St Catharines on August 31.
At 9:53 p.m., a vehicle was observed at 170 km/hr in a posted 100 km/hr zone.
A 25 y/o male driver from Scarborough was charged with:

▪️Failing to Stop on Right Shoulder for Emergency Vehicle
DL seized/suspended for 30 days
14-day vehicle impoundment
Court date issued for the charges.

'Alert' on Approved Screening Device resulting in a 7 day suspension.
🚔9:14 p.m. - 23 y/o female from Beamsville charged:
▪️Speeding - 121 km/h in an 80 km/h zone
▪️Novice Driver - B.A.C. above zero, resulting in immediate 7-day roadside driver's licence suspension.
In Ontario, all novice drivers (G1, G2, M1, M2) and drivers aged 21 and under are subject to a strict zero-tolerance policy.
Immediate 7-day driver's licence suspension.
On conviction, licence will be suspended for an additional 30 days minimum plus fines, licence reinstatement fees, education courses and higher insurance rates.

On Saturday, May 23, at 5:41 p.m, #BurlingtonOPP received multiple complaints about the driving behaviour of a vehicle on the #QEW Toronto bound coming into Burlington.
The vehicle was also involved in a minor fail to remain collision and failed to remain at the scene.
Officers located the vehicle and arrested and charged the 43-year-old male G1 driver from North York with:

Fatal rollover collision: WB #Hwy401 approaching Port Union. 44-year-old driver of garbage truck ejected from vehicle, transported to hospital and pronounced deceased. Passenger sustained minor injuries. Witnesses are asked to call #TorontoOPP 416-235-4981. Expect to have all lanes reopened by 3pm. ^ks
APPEAL FOR WITNESSES: On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 12:05 a.m., members of the #MississaugaOPP were called to a fatal collision on the southbound lanes of #Hwy410/Derry Rd. A pedestrian fell from the overpass and was struck by multiple vehicles. Two vehicles remained at the scene while several others did not stop.
One vehicle is belived to be black Ford, there would be damage to the vehicle.
The investigators would like to speak with that driver or any drivers in the area at the time of the collision who may be witnesses of who may have struck the person.
A 48-year-old male from Brampton was pronounced deceased at the scene. No foul play is suspected.
