Today starts the 2026 “Click It or Ticket” campaign, which is a national high-visibility enforcement campaign that focuses on the consequences of not wearing a seat belt while urging drivers and passengers to buckle up. The enforcement campaign runs through May 31st.
On Friday, Chief Case, Lt Grant (pictured) and Assistant Chief Monroe participated in the special Olympics law enforcement torch run! All proceeds raised go toward our Clay County Special Olympics athletes, many of whom ran or walked with our law enforcement officers and leaders.
Chief Case is proud to introduce Officer S. Centeno, our newest member, who was sworn in yesterday. Officer Centeno has many years of service in the Army National Guard and has previously worked as a law enforcement officer in Florida.We couldn’t be happier to welcome him aboard!

You will see several of our officers wearing this badge throughout 2026. This is a commemorative badge for The United States Semiquincentennial, the celebration of America's 250th anniversary, July 4, 2026, commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Big congratulations are in order for the 6th grade graduates of the D.A.R.E. Program over at Orange Park Elementary School. These students successfully completed several weeks of training led by Officer G. Briggs, OPE’s school resource officer.
Today is School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day! Thank you, school crossing guards,for helping to keep the most precious people on earth safe as they walk and ride their bikes to and from school every day. You are celebrated today but are very much appreciated each and every day.
