Bawana Child Sexual Abuse Case:

DCPCR Finds School Operating Illegally

Delhi’s Pooth Khurd, Bawana case involving alleged sexual abuse of a 3-year-old girl under investigation

DCPCR team inspected the school as part of the ongoing probe

Inspection found the school was allegedly operating illegally

Questions raised over staffing and non-compliance with prescribed norms

Authorities are also probing whether other children may have been subjected to abuse

Investigation into the matter is underway

Delhi: Following an alleged sexual abuse case involving a three-year-old nursery student at a private school in the Bawana area, the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) conducted a surprise inspection at the school in Pooth Khurd. The team inspected security arrangements, CCTV cameras, school cab operations and other child-safety measures

We are soon launching the Child Beggar-Free Delhi Campaign across all 13 districts to protect children found begging and secure their future.

Children will not be moved by force. With DCPCR and NGOs, we will counsel families, address their difficulties and provide better alternatives. The campaign will also identify and expose organised gangs forcing children into begging.
