Russia has stolen thousands of Ukrainian children, depriving them of their childhoods, their families, and their culture. As Canada continues to help the return of children, we must also ensure they have the tools to address trauma and reintegrate when they come home.
In the face of brutality and terror, Ukrainians are consistently working on reform, recovery, and rebuilding of their daily lives. I met with members of civil society organizations to learn more about their efforts and how best we can continue to support them.
