Leicester City Council's Recycling Service has moved to @LeicRecycles. Use the link below to order orange bags, book a bulky collection or report a broken bin.
CHRISTMAS COLLECTION DAYS
All refuse and recycling collections in Leicester will be made on the usual collection day over Christmas and New Year.
Please make sure your bin and orange bags are outside by 7am.
The #BigRecyclingHunt is on, don’t let those shampoo bottles escape.
Keep bathroom bottles out of your black bin. Whether it’s bubble bath, shampoo or conditioner, once they’re empty, rinse the bottles and put them in your orange bags.

Our trade waste facility will be closing early at 4 pm today and tomorrow (19th & 20th Oct). Apologies for any inconvenience.
Did you know… you can recycle most cleaning bottles?

Recycle Week is here, and the #BigRecyclingHunt is on.
Track down your empty aerosols - they don’t belong in your black bin. If they’ve had their last spray, recycle old deodorant, air freshener and hair spray cans in your orange bags.

Packaging can be confusing. It isn't always clear whether it's made from foil (which can be recycled) or metalised plastic (which can't).
Don’t be foiled – if you're not sure, check out Alupro’s guide to foil recycling and the scrunch test: https://t.co/NLrOFEN2ua #FoilFriday
We've had a fabulous couple of days talking to new students at De Montfort University.
We will be in Victoria Park tomorrow - feel free to come along, and we will answer any questions you have about waste and recycling in Leicester.
