See how the Richest man in the world is recruiting, but Ugandan companies would want you to have 10 years of experience using 25 tools.
"Smart humans figure it out fast," that's genius @elonmusk
I wish Ugandan companies emulated this & know learning on job is a normal thing.
“When you raise a concern, instead of looking for a solution, they look for you! I only asked them that ‘apart from Basements what do you have to offer?’, and they came to my inbox to tell me that they’ll find me! They’re not here to solve problems” (a young lady on the Agora space)
🔥 JUST IN
KV - Chairman of the Interlink Foundation has just confirmed that users who complete Level 1 verification and maintain a good mining rate will be allocated $ITLG.
#Interlink#ITL#ITLG
unfortunately, this is goin' to get worse with the nin becomin' the new tin
they'll now be able to trace all your financial accounts (includin' mobile money) tied to your nin
and slap agency notices on 'em until they drain whatever money has been assessed on you
you'll wake up and see overdrafts on all your accounts, effectively cuttin' off your means of survival
under this establishment, please keep some cash and open an offshore account
This country is slowly going to the dogs, if it hasn’t already.
The economy is in ruins, despite attempts by the regime to paint a rosy picture. Fuel prices are through the roof & the dollar rate has gone wild. As a result, prices of everything are now going up the stairs to the rooftop.
The tax authority continues to squeeze us into the ground even when it knows we are barely hanging on. You’re paying so many taxes you barely have anything left for basic survival.
On the other side Ministers, MPs, RDCs, Presidential Advisors & other folks of that kind are enjoying fat salaries & lavish lifestyles at the expense of the already burdened tax payer.
Meanwhile, service delivery is at an all time low, medical workers are disillusioned & aggrieved, teachers are grumpy & civil servants are just walking in & out of their offices at will. There is a nonchalant attitude across the entire civil service.
At the same time, the rule of law is nonexistent & anyone can be picked up at any time for as much as a sneeze that angers you-know-who. All this while, the Judiciary continues to turn a blind eye to the plight of political dissidents who don’t agree with the regime. People are picked up, tortured & kept incommunicado & the judiciary is mute.
Because the regime owns the parliament, all MPs can do right now is endorse whatever repressive law the regime cooks up to entrench itself. They legislate for the regime, not for the people.
Don’t forget that, security is now a reserve of those who have guns. Armed robbers, thugs with iron bars, pavers & other weapons own the streets. You can’t move without worrying that you’ll be attacked & possibly thumped to death by goons looking to relive you of your hard earned shillings & property.
I’m a lover of hope & positivity but is it such a wild thing to say that Uganda is tending towards a failed state? Is it being overly dramatic to say we are really going through the pits? And I know I seem like I’m only picking out things that are not working but am I telling any lies?
Yes, there are things that work & there is so much to be proud of as a Ugandan but in this moment right now, I’m very low on morale. And this is sad, considering this week we celebrate our independence.
How do you guys feel those ends? This side it’s looking bleak. 😔
"Chairman, a country without reserves is not sovereign. The potential of this Bill to destabilize Uganda’s balance of payments is our primary concern as a central bank. For example, last financial year the overall balance of payment surplus was USD 1.5 billion. That’s how we were able to increase our reserve coverage by USD 1.5 billion. Today as we speak our reserves are close to USD 6 billion. Why? Because these inflows have been coming in. The moment you tamper with these inflows here, we risk running down our reserves, and that is economic disaster for a country.” Governor Atingi-Ego on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill 2026 in an appearance before Parliament today.
@kv_interlink@inter_link Lowering the requirement from completing all three KYC steps to just the first step—thereby qualifying for the $ITLG allocation during this phase—will allow more users to access their crypto assets. That’s great, KV sir 🤝
Some updates about @inter_link:
A. Direction for ITLG
The same ITLG token will exist in one of three states: ITLG in App (off-chain), ITLG on-chain, and vITLG. This means the total supply will always remain at 100B.
These states will work similarly to how the same token operates across different blockchains. When ITLG moves from one state to another, the corresponding amount must be locked and bridged.
B. Verification and ITLG Distribution
For this round of ITLG distribution, priority will be given to users who have completed Level 1 verification and maintained a good mining rate, whether from individual or group mining. If your current metrics are too low, please try to improve them as soon as possible.
C. Utility:
ITLG should be even more active than ITL in terms of transaction volume, with a larger holder base and greater accessibility.
ITLG will function as a utility token across ITLX, finance, social, and gaming features within the InterLink ecosystem. Additional utilities will also continue to be researched and developed.
D. Treasury Partners and Anti-Inflation:
InterLink Labs and InterLink Foundation will maintain the same direction and continue expanding our Digital Asset Treasury partners in the next phase, once ITLG officially becomes transferable. In addition, InterLink Labs will continue allocating part of its reserves to buy back and burn ITLG, similar to what we are already doing with ITL.
All revenue generated from ITLX will be used to buy back and burn ITLG, similar to the model used by Hyperliquid with $HYPE.
E. The vision of InterLink Labs remains firmly from a builder’s perspective. We will continue expanding the ecosystem and building as strongly as possible for both ITL and ITLG. Whether some people are uncomfortable with or disagree with this direction, there is only one vision, and we will remain consistent with it.
