EASY โ The AI is 40% less aggressive, earns fewer tech points, keeps fewer garrison ships and makes fewer moves per turn. Perfect for learning the ropes without getting steamrolled. You start with an advantage.
MEDIUM โ Fair fight. Equal tech points, balanced aggression. The AI randomly picks from 4 unique personalities: Rusher (fast early attacks), Turtle (fortress defense then late-game crush), Economist (maxes production then drowns you in ships), or Guerrilla (annoying hit-and-run raids on 3 planets at once). It adapts to YOUR playstyle โ turtle against a rusher and it will out-tech you.
HARD โ The AI earns 20% more tech points, is 40% more aggressive, coordinates attacks across massive distances, and the personality mix is weighted 50% Rusher / 30% Guerrilla. It uses force projection, multi-planet coordinated assaults, feint attacks, economy tracking, emergency defense, and strategic planet dedications. When it smells blood it triggers FINISH HIM mode โ every planet sends fleets converging on your last worlds simultaneously.
