@Skavenger0@SaulStaniforth Average mileage may be around 7000 miles. This is totally dependent on where you live and work. Those in London and big cities have choices. Those who live in rural areas have to drive to access shops, banks, doctors etc and their annual mileage is significantly higher.
@CaptainVirgilx@_GeorgeFinch Parents have a statutory duty to send their children to school. Without school transport, many parents will not be able to meet that duty. Simple.
Comments like this make my blood boil 🤬
Just because a child doesn’t quite meet the magical ‘100’ on a paper with a questionable mark scheme, it does not mean that they cannot ‘properly read’.
And some of those 1:4 simply did not do the test for a myriad of reasons.
Nothing worse than finishing your class read with 4 weeks of term left! I contacted @ANewChapterBks last Thursday and today, our last class book of the year arrived.
Brilliant service. Thank you
@MrBoothY6 Absolutely. I say this every year. The time pressure leads to so many errors a as children rush to get an answer. We don’t rush children when reading a book- we allow time to think about characters and make links.
@AmazonUK please tell me why you decided to leave my parcels and those of a neighbour on the road, next to a dustbin in the rain. There was someone home, but you didn’t attempt to deliver and now some parcels are ruined 😡
@madbutwright I absolutely agree with you! Setting the ground rules for the year allows you to get on with reaching the children and building relationships.
