🙅Trespassing on railroad property is illegal and dangerous! It is not to be used for hanging out or as a shortcut.

🚂ALWAYS expect a train, at any time, on any track, from any direction. Railroads still run on holidays, as they help this country move along!

🛤️ Always stay at least 25 feet away from any tracks. No set of fireworks is worth the risk!

👀 Always LOOK BOTH WAYS before crossing tracks and only cross at designated crossings.

Call the number labeled on the sign and share the crossing ID number with the dispatcher so they can properly know what crossing you’re at and contact any train traffic! If there’s no crossing near by, call 911. Taking the extra step to make the call can help protect a life!

Today, on Emergency Notification System Sign Awareness Day, we want to remind you to FIND THE BLUE AND WHITE TO SAVE A LIFE. If you see a vehicle or an object stuck on or near the tracks at a crossing, or any of the listed examples above, get out, get away, and find the sign!

Millions of vehicles and pedestrians cross railroad tracks around the country daily, where sometimes incidents can happen while trying to cross that can cause safety concerns, such as stalled or stuck vehicles, objects fouling the tracks, damaged crossings, or trespassing.
