4 Builders - 92 % of total on-chain profit ๐ฐ
25% increase in total monthly profit (since November 2023) ๐ค
@metachris@relayscan_io@titanbuilderxyz@beaverbuild@rsyncbuilder Since the current solution heavily depends on builder coinbase diff, significant refactoring of the solution, along with address tagging, would be necessary. I'll investigate this further; nonetheless, the query for calculating adjusted builder profits is also open source!
On builder profitability ๐งต 1/4
Due to faulty methodology, @relayscan_io is currently displaying inflated profits for some builders.
Profits according to RelayScan vs (actual profit):
@titanbuilderxyz 103 ETH (65 ETH)
@beaverbuild 72 ETH (19 ETH)
@rsyncbuilder 7 ETH (1ETH)
Our methodology accounts for this, and we are now publishing builder profitability data on our dashboard: https://t.co/rD7IjHhBJX
Itโs updated every hour using @EdenNetwork public data on Big Query.
You can also check the most profitable blocks in the past seven days.
Illuminating Trust Reliance in Ethereum's Transaction Supply Chain
Do the advantages of PBS and OFA outweigh the trust reliance they introduce? ๐
https://t.co/JQPrIol1lX
TL;DR
-We use adjusted profit to explain a builder's on-chain net profit.
-November total adjusted profit is 1,246 ETH
-5 builders dominate the market (92% of total profit)
-14 builders each exceeded adjusted profit of 1 ETH in November

Block building a bit centralised ? ๐ค
Just five block builders make 92% of the total profit! ๐ค
I just published a report on block builder profitability, using @EdenNetwork public datasets as the source.

@cryptoquantHQ@MevRefund This is the problem of only using balance changes on builder address to calculate profit/subsidy...
Working on a better methodology that would correctly categorise all transfers from and to builder address. That should give a better idea of actual builder profit (WIP)
