It's always important to revisit certain albums you didn't take to as much on a first listen. A good and recent example for me is Either/Or by Eliot Smith. Initially, I thought the tracks were okay with 1 great song (pictures of me). Now I love all of them. No skip on this album!

Just read the first 3 chapters of Dead Souls and I'm loving it. Gogol writes with so much wit, humour and loaquciousness. He reads like Dickens. Such an interesting read so far and I hope it keeps getting better and better

Red House by Jimi Hendrix is really one of the greatest albums closers one arguably the most revolutionary and influential psychedelic rock album. Hendrix really goes full dial on this blues performance. So much soul! No one like Hendrix!

@PhilKlay Tolstoy is the better writer. His prose his better, his plots are better, his characters are better and his novels have better structure. Dostoevsky is the more original writer and is superior to Tolstoy is psychological examination and philosophy. Overall, Tolstoy still edges it

@dewdroplin Allow me to recommend The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy. It has some of the best nature descriptions ever put to paper. Hardy knows how to bring the drama and fascinatingly complex characters

@lloydagainnn @1am_aube Yes I have. Being a history of the middlearth mythology, I'm surprised it could change the way you see life. Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit would have been an even more plausible answer
