When kids are slain at a dance class in Southport it’s not terrorism.
When Brits are murdered by illegal migrants it's not terrorism.
When high profile conservative politicians are beaten to death it's not terrorism.
When Muslims are the targets it’s terrorism straight away.
The two-tier system is clear to see.
Anyone who platforms, celebrates or enables this man should be boycotted.
McGregor raped a woman so violently she had to have a tampon surgically removed from her body.
He’s trying to make a comeback, and our patriarchal rape culture is allowing it.
We are not angry enough.
It’s not longer a Conspiracy.
To everyone who has continually called this out - you were right - you were always - you always knew you were right - now you are all vindicated.
🚩 MAJOR RED FLAG: A former police detective involved in the investigations of roughly 250 SIDS cases said coroners didn’t include vaccination history in their reports, even when police reports included the information.
Jennifer said she hadn’t initially questioned the safety of vaccines. But that changed when she noticed a recurrent pattern among the police reports for SIDS cases.
🚨BREAKING NEWS
Charlotte Griffith has now revealed that it was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that leaked the news about the meeting at a cafe near Clarence House, with Tobyn Andrae.
Harry and Meghan are the LEAKS!!
Jury duty letter came addressed to my cat.
Not a mistake. "Felix Martinez" - that's his full name according to his vet records.
My last name. His first name. Somehow he's a registered voter now.
Called the county clerk.
Me: My cat got summoned for jury duty.
Clerk: Is the name correct on the summons?
Me: Yes, but he's a cat.
Clerk: Is Felix Martinez a legal resident of this county?
Me: He's a legal cat.
Clerk: Sir, if the name matches our records, he needs to appear or file an exemption.
Me: He can't file anything. He has paws.
Clerk: You can file on his behalf.
Me: Under what exemption? There's no box for "is a cat."
Clerk: (pause) Check "unable to serve due to medical reasons."
Me: What's the medical reason?
Clerk: He's a cat.
Me: That's not a medical condition.
Clerk: It is if it prevents him from serving.
Sent in the form. Got rejected two weeks later.
"Insufficient documentation. Please provide medical professional's statement."
Took the letter to my vet.
Me: I need you to write that my cat can't do jury duty.
Vet: Why is your cat summoned for jury duty?
Me: Excellent question. No good answer.
Vet: This is the weirdest request I've gotten.
Me: Can you just write that he's medically unfit to serve?
Vet: On what grounds?
Me: He's a cat.
Vet: (started typing) "Patient is unable to serve due to species-related limitations including inability to speak, read, or comprehend legal proceedings."
Me: Perfect.
Sent it in. Got another rejection.
"Summons is mandatory. Failure to appear will result in contempt of court."
My roommate thought this was hilarious.
Roommate: Felix is going to jail.
Me: This is serious.
Roommate: Bring him to court. See what happens.
Decided that was actually the only option left.
Day of jury duty, put Felix in his carrier. Brought the entire paper trail of rejection letters.
Checked in at the courthouse.
Clerk: Name?
Me: Felix Martinez.
Clerk: (looked at the cat carrier) Is that Felix?
Me: Yes.
Clerk: (long stare) He's a cat.
Me: I've been saying that for six weeks.
Clerk: Why didn't you file an exemption?
Me: I filed three. All rejected.
Showed her the letters. She read through them, expression shifting from confusion to disbelief.
Clerk: Someone rejected the veterinary documentation?
Me: Twice.
Clerk: (called her supervisor over) You need to see this.
Supervisor read everything. Looked at Felix. Looked at me.
Supervisor: How did a cat get registered to vote?
Me: You tell me.
Supervisor: This is a data error.
Me: Took you six weeks to figure that out.
They dismissed Felix immediately. Apologized for the inconvenience.
Supervisor: We'll remove him from the voter registry.
Me: Appreciate it.
Supervisor: (pause) Out of curiosity, how would he have voted?
Me: Probably whatever party supports universal treats.
Got a formal apology letter a week later and a voter registration card.
For me this time. Apparently I wasn't registered, but my cat was.
Roommate: Felix committed voter fraud.
Me: Felix committed nothing. He's innocent.
Roommate: That's what they all say.
Felix is sleeping on the jury summons now.
Fitting end to his legal career.
People seem to have forgotten that it rained *constantly* this year in Britain between Christmas and Easter, and again for much of May. There is no water shortage. We’ve drained and desecrated our landscapes to the extent that they are now simply incapable of storing all that rainfall for us. The water is sent barrelling down land drains, ditches, artificially straightened streams and rivers to the sea, causing mayhem as it goes, and leaving us with no water afterwards. It’s so easy to fix this. It’s called ‘natural flood management’. Put back the bogs and marshes, the ponds and wetlands, re-wiggle the streams, liberate and reconnect the rivers to their flood plains, and we’ll find we have way less flooding, fewer hosepipe bans and cleaner water. Yet all we get each winter are hysterical calls for *more* dredging and straightening of the rivers, more draining of the fields. We must be the very last country in the world to grasp this basic natural hydrology.
between Henry Nowak, the beheading attempt in Northern Ireland, the rape gang report, and the 3 year old boy thrown into the crocodile pit, I genuinely don't understand how the entirety of the UK is not engulfed in flames right now
"At the police station, Kate was taken into the interview room. Before the interview began, and without Kate’s mother present, Kate was told that this was her “last chance” to say that her report was untrue. She was warned that if any part of her account could not be supported by evidence, she could and would be arrested. For an extended period of time, both officers repeatedly told her how much trouble she would be in if any detail of her statement was disproved, and that she could withdraw the allegation before the interview started with no further consequences. They also suggested that her parents would be relieved if she said the incident had not happened."
In all those red areas:
The police knew.
The MARAC teams knew.
The councils knew.
The councillors knew.
The MPs knew.
The social workers knew.
The health visitors knew.
The nurses knew.
The doctors knew.
The safeguarding teams knew.
The local magistrates knew.
The teachers knew.
The school nurses knew.
The school governors knew.
They knew and they are bound by statutory guidance to do everything possible to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Yet somehow we have reached the point where this has been allowed to go on since the 1950s and is still happening today.
The Conservatives and the Labour Party are an absolute disgrace.
You disgusting hypocrites have the cheek to lecture me about what I should or shouldn’t do with my own children, how I should raise them. While you have 250,000 raped, tortured, destroyed, and in some cases murdered children on your hands.
And you did nothing.
HOW DARE YOU.
