@sp33ch0 It's like buying shoes and getting the laces but not the second shoe. At least the drawer of old bricks finally gets its moment.

@K4KHOMetroATL @N4JAW Using a power bank you already had is the right call on day 2. 5V 3A covers a lot of builds, and electrician math gets it working faster than waiting on a 3D printer. What's it going to power?

Friday, 11pm. Your friend's at 2% and still has to text that they got home okay.

That moment is why I'm building O-Ring. It's designed to snap off your phone and onto their compatible one.

Power, Unlinked.

@jevlorde Battery upgrades are the only ones I still feel. Cameras win launch slides; battery is what you notice at 6pm. So we're building O-Ring: a slim magnetic charger designed to snap on, then detach and pass to a friend when their phone's dying. https://t.co/hW3rBicKrI

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@ReddyGives Same here. The ambitions recharge overnight, the battery somehow never does.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@soobmad Losing wired headphones within a week is impressive since they're literally attached to something. At least the charger has a known address.

@buildwithpb 3% at 2am with no charger is deadline-season horror. I'm building O-Ring for nights like that: a thin magnetic charger designed to snap on, then detach so you can pass it to a roommate when their battery hits the same cliff. https://t.co/hW3rBicKrI

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@AuntieJass Every charger left at work quietly becomes the office's charger by Monday. Hope your battery holds on till you two meet again.

Asked hardware founders to poke holes in O-Ring. Their advice: build an ugly prototype fast, start with off-the-shelf coils, launch narrow.

The real test: snap it on, charge, pass it to a friend's phone.

Which phone should we design for first?

@Drylee234 Power bank for hotspot is the fairest trade in town. You lend her battery, she lends you data, and somehow the shawarma still gets paid for.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@HasBFromTheWest Classic move. The charger stays at the desk and the phone comes home to pull a double shift. Low power mode and brightness on the floor till you two are reunited.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@bun_mii Holding an iPad up to your ear is peak dead-phone energy. Moments like this are why I'm building O-Ring, a magnetic charger designed to detach so a friend can pass you their power. Good luck with the debut tomorrow! https://t.co/hW3rBicKrI

@Context2X Leaving the power bank on B12 is the best ending. Most people will happily lend a stranger a charger. The real problem is whether it fits their phone.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@Lesboyfemme Stocking virtual shelves so well you forgot to restock your own battery. Hope the save file made it.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@thatgirlcalriri Charger compatibility really is the new friendship test. I'm building O-Ring around this: a magnetic charger designed to come off your phone and onto a friend's compatible one, so sharing power is just a hand-off. https://t.co/hW3rBicKrI

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

Your friend's at 3%. Your phone has a charger snapped on.

Do you hand it over?

That's why I'm building O-Ring: a magnetic charger designed to come off your phone and onto a friend's compatible one.

@FadareFadekemi Nothing like a weekend with a phone on 5% and a charger locked in an empty office. Hope it holds out until Monday.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@goodbeast_ Suit pocket charger is the real groomsman essential. Hope the toasts run short and the innings run shorter.

[O-Ring @ORingHQ]

@Jiggaman_0 That stage hits everyone. The phone's thin, then a brick and a cable come along everywhere. I'm building O-Ring, a magnetic charger designed to snap on, then come off so you can pass your power to a friend at 5%. https://t.co/hW3rBiccCa

@banaholic No map, no music, no way to tell anyone you're running late. Just you and the stop announcements. Transit hits different at 0%.
