@coady_colinson@fosandair Not one single decent, well-raised Irish person would ever use the word retarded as an adjective. Why do North Americans think this is acceptable? It doesn’t matter how important the topic under discussion is… when you say “retarded” in this way, you antagonise most of us
@iseult I just read an article stating that the Dutch volleyball player who raped the child was booed every single time he served the ball. So she’s wrong… people are completely outraged
@sophiegrenham I didn’t know a single child w a playroom. My parents had 2 small double bedrooms and a box room between 8 people. One family had a sunroom (glorified garage with a big window) and in time it became a playroom for their teens I suppose… but only to keep us out of the real house
@DonaldClarke63 Angela Merkel was the first woman leader I am aware of to normalise the wearing of trousers. She basically wore a uniform to work, just like men do, to reduce unwanted attention being paid to her appearance instead of policy
@fionamitchell56 I keep an eye on a particularly vile Facebook page called Iteland Rising from the Ashes. It’s insane. Loads of calls for “Irexit” and loads of support for Mr Yaxley Lennon and his crew
@HazelAppleyard_ He has discovered to his cost that the mantras we are told to chant “transwomen are women”, “acceptance without exception”, “people are who they say they are”, “sex work is work” only apply when the children at risk are someone else’s children. No one actually believes that shit
@JonathanPieNews Well done for speaking up … she is so right to draw attention to this issue. In ireland where I live , this murderer would have an automatic right to serve his sentence in the women’s prison, alongside some of the most traumatised and vulnerable women in the country
@RCBakerRealtor @willholmau @CreepyOrg He’s also the image of Diana’s brother. They don’t know anything about red hair genetics, which are very complicated
@CreepyOrg I despise the so-called Royal Family but this is brutal and unnecessary bullshit. The genetics of red haired people are complex…one of my daughters looks like we adopted her. Harry is the living image of his mothers brother. Why not discuss the family’s real crimes?
@heartofechos I would have seriously contemplated calling the police. I can definitely imagine kicking someone once in those circumstances and then spending the whole rest of the journey drunkenly apologising and trying to make amends…. Not repeating the assault several times more
@cybertruck20241@reduxx Not only in Germany but in the US too. People wonder why so many high school boys on US sports are identifying as girls… they are after the girls’ scholarship money
@McNiffecent Hi Aisling, yes you can DM me, but Dunboyne/West Dublin isn’t an area I know well. She could try contacting Killossery lodge or Broadmeadows which are both near Swords
@wildeanambition@TheCountessIE I have absolutely no objections to Cara Dixon believing himself to be a woman. Bully for him. My objections do not arise until people start telling me that I must also pretend to believe that he’s a woman. No one is saying he can’t race, we just don’t want men in the women’s race

@ucu The endless, unthinking insistence upon overt displays of allegiance to a flag is so fascistic that no one could possibly watch that video clip and not instantly be reminded of a totalitarian state. Are you all sleepwalking or drunk, or just so blind that you’re oblivious?
