prediction markets are everywhere on CT right now, and honestly, for good reason

but here's my issue with most of the traditional prediction markets; you're stuck predicting the same boring mainstream stuff

elections, token prices, macro events. gets old fast

what if you could bet on whether villeneuve's next film tops arrival? or which album from your favorite artist actually slaps the hardest?

that's the kind of thing I actually want to speculate on

recently @trytbd popped up on my feed and I'm glad it did tbh

it's built around niche, community driven markets, the stuff you won't find on any of the bigger platforms

your prediction is resolved by the vote of actual human who votes on the poll

votes remain private until the poll closes, so no one knows who predicted what, The option with the most votes wins

you can also create your own markets around literally whatever you're into and earn 0.5% of all trading volume as the creator. which is a nice little passive upside just for posting something interesting

they also just dropped a feature called Speed Run recently. 10 rapid fire predictions, 55 seconds each, AI resolves the outcome at the end

i've played around with it a few times and it's genuinely fun. fast, chaotic, weirdly addictive

big credit to @coreyj_miller for building this something like this, you can tell it was built by someone who actually felt the gap, not just someone chasing a trend
