@jointdocShields@orthotalkpod What I was told:
1 Location
2 $
3 Practice type (academic, private, hospital)
4 partners
A really good job has 3/4 of the things you want
2/4 is acceptable
Anything less, keep looking
4/4 is a unicorn.
And now I make every argument @Jabaluck made about physicians making too much and adding to healthcare costs, only with professors adding to higher education costs (THREAD)
@Jabaluck This is a dumb comparison. Lawyers don’t have to do residencies. My lawyer friends started making money 3yrs after undergrad. Took me 10. Lawyers are not in house call for 24+hrs. Lawyers can’t kill/Maime someone if they screw up
@OrthoFolks I was told I couldn’t get into Med school
I did.
I was told I was not good enough for ortho
Got my #1 choice in match (1 of the top programs nationally)
Then I went to my top choice for fellowship.
I don’t mind people telling me I can’t b/c I thrive on proving them wrong.
@orthotalkpod Fishing boots. Waterproof. Designed for traction and all day wear. Highly recommend @XtratufBoots or @HukFishing I have them used both (keep a set at each place I operate).
