The establishment politicians including Nigeria, including those in the ruling party and the so-called opposition, will tell you that you can’t win without billions of naira, powerful godfathers and godmothers, billionaire backers, and the machinery of the state.

But ask them one simple question and that is, why hasn’t any of them built and sustained a genuine political movement without godfathers, godmothers or billionaire patrons, the way we built the African Action Congress (@aacparty ), powered instead by courage, conviction, sacrifice and ordinary people?

Ask them why, during every election cycle, they have to go shopping for and renting political parties they neither built nor believe in, simply to satisfy their inordinate personal ambitions.

Then, after jumping from party to party, they turn around and gaslight you into joining them, claiming that theirs including nebulous coalitions are the only “viable” path to victory.

If they are such formidable politicians, why can’t they build anything of their own?

Why must they wait until every election cycle to hijack, rent or inherit political platforms they neither built nor truly believe in?

And why do they have to send their supporters and surrogates to blindside, blackball and pressure you into abandoning what you have built to join their reactionary platforms?

If their ideas are so compelling, let them organize. If their platforms are so popular, let them mobilize. If their politics is so powerful, let them build.

We built ours with our sweat and blood. Let them build theirs.#Sowore2027
