I’ve been teaching Ross Gay’s poem “A Small Needful Fact“ for years, but didn’t realize until yesterday, when I read this Robert Hayden poem, how much Gay’s poem is in dialogue with this one. It’s kind of amazing. Looking forward to teaching the poems side-by-side...
@AskLyft Do drivers receive financial penalties for abandoning customers after accepting the ride? First driver was 6 minutes away, turned in opposite direction, appeared to take two other riders while I waited outdoors additional 20 minutes.
