Thank you, Team Ottawa South, for all your hard work! This past year has been unforgettable! 

Regardless of the outcome, we put tremendous effort into introducing a fresh voice and a new generation to our riding. We knocked on over 60,000 doors, participated in wonderful events hosted by community organizations, enjoyed diverse festivals from various ethnic and religious groups, organized our own events open to everyone, and ran one of the best sign campaigns in the nation. 

Our team of over 100 volunteers was remarkable. Individuals from all backgrounds came together to put Canada First—for a change—and to restore common sense in our communities. I deeply appreciate all that you have done and will always be grateful. 

We fought to ensure that families no longer had to live paycheque to paycheque, that everyone could access a family doctor, and that public safety was upheld so we could all feel safe in our neighborhoods.

I wish to express my gratitude to my friends, loved ones, and especially my entire family for their unwavering support, love, and assistance. I am incredibly thankful daily for my wife, Nat, and my two wonderful kids, who have stood by me through thick and thin.

I hope I made my late father, Barry Turner, proud. Thank you, Dad, for fighting for our community, and I promise to continue doing the same as a police officer.

I wish the best for @DavidMcGuinty on his re-election in Ottawa South and extend my congratulations to his entire team, family, and supporters.

2. Allowing seniors the option of keeping savings growing in RRSPs until age 73, up from 71.

The story coming out from UBCO of a conservative campus club’s ratification being denied is disturbing.

There are other political clubs at UBCO and UBC. Universities should be a place of open discussion of ideas for students, not censorship. I hope this decision is reversed.
