I'm back from a truly beautiful week away in Somerset nr Cheddar Gorge.
I am still in the holiday mood and have just been treated to a full English b/fast. So nice to be outdoors and its been so tranquil as this pub - Hare & Hounds - in Bath gets packed!

@TanteRos Lol. There was a bar called The Cider Barn very close to where I stayed. I enjoyed cold rose wine in the hot, balmy evenings. Yum.
It was so peaceful Rose surrounded by nature/vast landscapes/trees. Wish I could have stayed longer. It was a big hot tub! Lol.

@TanteRos Aw, that's tough. I'm on holiday and falling asleep very early, which is fine, but then Im waking up around this time - 2 ish - and ready for a cuppa. Lol.

Actor Sam Neill has sadly died aged 78. As well has being a fantastic actor, he regularly showed his love of nature and farming. Here he is with his beloved duck. A lovely man who understood the value of the simple things in life. RIP Sam Neill.

Heartbreaking news. Our beloved Sam Neil died suddenly in Sydney today. Sam was not just a wonderful actor but also the most charming, kind, intelligent & deliciously self-deprecating friend. His wry, dry humour & mischievous twinkle lit up our lives. He'll be so dearly missed.

A formidable and outspoken figure in British politics who was never afraid to speak her mind. Whether people agreed with her views or not, she undoubtedly left her mark on public life.

On Sun, a bus driver slammed the brakes so hard I flew out of my seat. I grabbed a pole, but the momentum had me swinging from it for dear life. Now I ache all over. GP says it’s low-grade whiplash.
