Id just like to say thank you to everyone who I've engaged with within the NAFO framework. I started my PHD last week and the 50 hours a week studying ontop of working to pay bills won't leave me with much time for twitter. So I just wanted to say -
๐ธ๏ธ Fedorov: We are currently building more than 25 km of anti-drone protection in two strategically important areas of the Donetsk region. We are working at a pace of about 1 km per day.
371 km of anti-drone structures have already been equipped in seven regions in 2026.
Iran has just raised the bounty for the missing US pilot in southern Iran again they clearly have no idea where he is, I am starting to think someone could be hiding him.
Starmer knows this is his mess-up, regardless of "underinvestment" by previous governments, and he knows that he has no intentions of prioritising defence spending because it doesn't win him votes...
Iran fired a pair of intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK base in the Indian Ocean.
One missile failed in flight, and another was engaged by a US Navy destroyer using an SM-3 missile.
Ukraine crushed NATO partners during naval exercises near the coast of Portugal.
Ukrainian Magura V7 naval drones simulated the sinking of a frigate during the drills. After several simulated hits, NATO sailors even wrote in the chat: โSo are you going to attack us or not?โ โ not realizing they had already been attacked.
Ukrainian operators commanded the โred teamโ and won all five combat scenarios.
The exercises highlighted something important: unmanned naval systems, combined with Ukraineโs real combat experience and operational planning, can pose a serious challenge to traditional naval forces.
They also demonstrated that many militaries โ including NATO โ are still not prepared for this new type of warfare.
I have said this before: today it is not Ukraine that needs NATO, but NATO that needs Ukraine.

While everyone is watching Iran, the situation for the ziggers in Ukraine is looking increasingly dire, and they're possibly facing a collapse in their frontline even worse than they experienced in Nov 2022.
@icre8design@grok@YUSUF_OLATUNJI7@sentdefender Refuel it again (economically inviable and indudtrialy untenable given current US dockyard constraints) or replace it. Which is the plan, however the replacement has been delayed due to teething troubles with the ford class build program
IRGC-affiliated Bisimchi media published this for "Mass UAV launch" where they launched 5 Shahed-136 UAVs,

Before everyone gets carried away with the bombing of Kharg Island, there are a few things to know:
- It's got a military presence like everything else in Iran. That's what was struck. They'll most likely get replaced ASAP from the mainland.
- It also has 55 crude oil storage tanks that can capacitate over 34 million barrels. They're most likely unscathed.
- There was a VLCC supertanker today that was wrapping up her 48h loading there of 2 million barrels. A couple of smaller tankers loaded or were just berthed on the east side of the island.
- Kharg Island has been loading tankers non-stop since the war broke out two weeks ago.
- If folks here start posting satellite data showing fires on the island to imply destruction of the oil facilities, then compare them against old images because there's gas flaring happening there daily. You can review them here: https://t.co/vA7XkKnKmY
- Although the island has some offshore oil production, the bulk of the oil actually derives from the mainland via multiple pipelines. The island first began exporting oil during the summer of 1960 and was built to capacitate 7 million barrels per day in exports, to reflect the potential in oil production. Iran hit 6.6 Mbpd in production back in 1976.
- According to our tracking, the island accounted for 96% of the Iran's crude oil exports during 2025; or 1.538 Mbpd of the 1.605 Mbpd total.
- When Saddam Hussein raided the island numerous times forty years ago and destroyed a number of storage tanks, Kharg Island was still able to export over 1.5 million barrels per day. Here's a 40 year old sat pic we keep handy.
Thanks,
/TT

The U.S. Embassy in Cuba has called on the government to immediately release all political prisoners, after the number of detainees for ideological reasons reportedly reached a record 1,214 in February.
The moment of the attack on the oil tanker Safesea Vishnu by an Iranian explosive boat tonight in the Persian Gulf near Iraq.
One crew member was killed. The tanker is owned by a U.S. company and was sailing under the Marshall Islands flag.
Around 50% of Iran's ballistic missiles fired at Israel amid the war have been armed with cluster bomb warheads, according to fresh IDF assessments.
The cluster bomb warheads indiscriminately spread dozens of submunitions with several kilograms of explosives over a radius of around 10 kilometers.
The interception of such missiles has been effective but challenging, military officials say, stressing that Israel's air defenses are not hermetic.
According to the IDF, Iran's missile fire during the war has been aimed at population centers, along with military facilities and key infrastructure.
The attacks from Iran in recent days have consisted of just one or a small number of missiles at a time. The IDF believes Iran is struggling to carry out coordinated, larger barrages toward Israel.

๐ฌ๐ง Royal Navy: We need to replace 16x Type 23 frigates, as they are falling apart.
๐ฌ๐ง HM Treasury: You only get money for 13.
RN: Then the new ones must be highly capable.
(RN proceeds to develop the Type 26 frigate)
HMT: Those are too expensive, you can only have 8.
