God knows His stubborn children like myself. He knows that some of us will not move until He closes some doors.
So as a child of God, when a door closes unexpectedly, it may be that God closed it so that He can redirect you. An end of a matter is the beginning of another.
God forbid that we toil so hard only for someone else to come & reap from what we planted.
Baba your daughter will not work hard & another eats off my back. Luke 10:7 says The laborer is worthy of his wages. I will enjoy of my hard work
My husband saw me pitch today to a client he's been helping me lock down and he can't believe that's I'm the same human being ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I can do Math from the top of my head & the data in my head is seamless but I don't want to think about what we're going to be eating for dinner ๐คฃ
If you're not careful this world will rob you of the greatness God has put in you simply because you can't or don't want to have children. I hope you one day see this & know that you are equally valuable to your father & deserve equal respect & dignity in this world. ๐
Dear woman, your value lies beyond what you can bring forth through your womb. Your first calling is being a daughter of the King of Zion. A priced piece of God Himself. God's first mandate for Eve was a blessing for fruitfulness & she was created as a suitable helper.
My husband's prayer over me every day is "Lord surround her with people who see how valuable she is. As she goes in and out, sorround her with people who know what she can do." And I've realized how important this is. Because without it you can turn into a begger at every turn.
Celebrating the goodness of God today because after months of treatment for my spinal fracture, I can turn myself in bed. S/O to my husband who has been turning me for months at intervals, sacrificing his sleep for my comfort. I love this man so much. God did me well.
Healing also includes rebuilding boundaries around my energy, time, and generosity.
And I hold on to the gratitude I feel toward the people who truly came through. Crisis has a way of revealing the difference between people who consume you and people who genuinely care for you.
This season changed me in ways I never expected. Iโm grateful to be alive, healing, and slowly getting back to myself. But one thing this experience revealed clearly is my value in peopleโs lives.
That clarity felt lonely at first, but itโs actually protective. It helped me stop overextending myself for people who only appear when they need something. I donโt owe immediate access, favors, or emotional labor just because I survived and are recovering.
People who never called after my accident suddenly โchecked inโ only to follow it up with a favor they needed. The concern wasnโt really about me โ it was about whether I was well enough to still come through for them.Healing teaches you a lot about people.
Some people truly showed up for me โ helped me heal, checked in consistently, carried me through difficult days. Iโll never forget that kind of love.On the flip side, I realized that to some people, Iโm simply a resource.
When I go out shopping for my stuff sometimes, the best way to derail me is to show me something I can buy for my husband. I'll leave the house thinking I'm going to buy me jeans then bam! I come back with things I think would look good for my man. Best value for my money ๐
For instance when my back needs me to rest, it will immobilize everything about me; from my hands to my feet. The body stores trauma in certain places & for me it's on my back. So my doctor told me that as much as I would like to bounce back abruptly, my body tells me to relax.
The more I've been in & out of hospital this season, the more I've learned to respect God. He really took so much time & thought with creating us. My doctor explaining my body to me makes me realize how much this body of ours was designed to protect us& keep us alive.
