🎵 How to Separate VOD Audio in OBS/Streamlabs 🔊
Recently someone asked me how to separate audio for Twitch so certain things like music don't get retained on the VOD but are heard on stream! Let me walk you through it! It's so easy!
In OBS/Streamlabs right click on your audio mixer > Advanced Audio Properties. Here you can dedicate certain audio sources to certain tracks I have everything checked for my "stream track" [track 1] and everything but music (in my case Spotify/Youtube but you can do this with anything honestly) for my "VOD track" [track 2] and if you like to record you can customize the other tracks as you like, if not just ignore them and uncheck any audio sources you don't want on your VOD track by unchecking them!
Next we have to set up the VOD track. Go to Settings > Output > Check "Twitch VOD track" and select your track you set up previously!
Now you can play music all you want on Twitch and the VOD will retain none of the music sources! You can add in a back track with other music afterward if you'd like or just let the games music/audio fill in the space instead!
Some notes:
1.} YouTube does NOT have audio separation if you stream from YouTube Studio nor does Restream offer audio track separation so be careful when multistreaming using this service and playing music!
2.} I highly recommend using Aitum Multistream as it can use your stream software settings and separated audio tracks and it's free and really easy to set up honestly.
3.} I also am not sure if the VOD separation works on Youtube, I have yet to be brave enough to test it but if someone knows for sure please let me know!
4.} Like I mentioned with Youtube, TikTok studio does not have the ability to separate audio. I personally Aitum Vertical to mirror my Vertical OBS source to TikTok Studio and they don't care about music so it doesn't matter anyway! (Let me know if you want a tutorial on this)
I's appreciate ♡ + ↺ if you found this helpful and ask any questions! I'm happy to answer them! 🩷
@chaiimisu Oh wifey, I'm sorry you're feeling that way. I would scoop you up, dry you off, wrap you in a fuzzy blankie, give you an iced coffee (cuz you don't like water) and a snack, a forehead kiss and turn on your favorite movie.
There are plenty of successful male vtubers out there. But the thing is they aren't hateful and rude. It's often times the male vtubers that don't attract an audience are the ones that are mean and not entertaining. But it's easier to blame women than grow an appealing personality.
I would also refer you to my post with 270k views where I announced I had a boyfriend publicly and made it very clear that I've never been available to my community.
I might have it "easier" because I'm a female but I have worked my ass off for what I have. If he applied himself, worked half as hard as I do and stopped being a raging dickhead he might get somewhere.
What he said was not appropriate and you trying to justify his words because my model has her tits out which is a character that I helped create and is FOR ME is crazy work
Some men clearly aren't lonely enough.
My worst collab experience was when me and a bunch of friends were playing a supermarket game and Zealous spent the entire collab talking shit about me/the other girls. He said that I only had the following I had because I had tits and my community wanted to fuck me and how we wouldn't get how hard it is being a male vtuber. During the collab with two other girls of our group participating mind you.
He had a significantly smaller following compared to me and another girl of the group and he wanted to use us as stepping stones while also trying to punch up at us. He also spent the entire stream low key harassing us and knocking us down with a broom or overall just being a menace "for the lulz" and ruining the collab for everyone. Oh and some of his viewers were invading our chats and being mean/disruptive and he didn't put in any effort to stop or deter them from doing so.
He also begged me and the other girls to raid him because he needed the support. I honestly didn't want to but we all did anyway due to the intense pressure he was putting on us to do so, again while live. And then after the raid you could tell he wasn't actually appreciative cause he pressured us all into it.
Cherry on top? Found out afterwards that he's a little thief, wasn't fulfilling commissions, talked so much shit about and was hateful to women on his vtuber twitter "for drama engagement" and was actively condoning people using AI to generate deep fakes of Taylor Swift at the time because she "deserved it"
And then he tried to cancel us for confronting him about it and kicking him out of the friend group. He shortly deactivated afterwards cause people starting speaking out about him in defense of us but he blamed us for it the entire time. Go figure.
In case anyone was curious, people don't change. I didn't think I could get more upset with you than I already was. But time and time again you prove me right.
I'm so glad you were able to replace us with new friends that are capable of feeding your delusions and pat your back when you cry about not having a platform or a community and getting rid of the friends that just wanted you to succeed.
I still remember how you gloated about the design that was going to make you big and how I couldn't work with the artists you did because I wasn't interesting enough and everyone wanted to be friends with you instead because you had a more interesting design.
If you spent half as much time streaming as you do changing designs and planning debuts that will never happen you might actually get somewhere. Not to mention complaining about being broke all the time when you spend all your money on digital designs you'll never use and can't sell. I'm working my ass off. I'm putting in the effort and all you care about is the hot new design that will capture attention.
I've had the best growth I've ever had and you're still in the same place, worse even. Wonder why.
You can change designs all you want but you can't convince others to invest in you when you can't invest in yourself. What you want requires work and investment, neither of which you're capable of.
I hope it was worth it.
