@SlyFlourish We have a large dry-erase gridded custom built tabletop. On that, we put a whole mix of battlemats, terrain tilesets, and 3d terrain; we have a lot of old wargamers in the group so there's a lot of Warhammer/40K terrain available.
@neuvel@doctorow If a stock is on the rise, statistically, it's more likely you'd make money buying the stock (betting on it continuing to go up) because there's no way to predict when the peak will be or, once it peaks, whether it will drop down far enough for you to profit.
@neuvel@doctorow It usually does, but not as many because for a short to really be profitable the stock has to tank. No one is going to short a stock that's on the rise because while it might drop down you have no idea when or by how much.
@SlyFlourish@KoboldPress It's a good table, but I wish more random encounter tables were "quick" ones, i.e. something the party can deal with in 5 minutes. I don't want a table full of hooks to full sidequests/alternate campaigns when I'm already trying to get them moving through the main one.
The majority of TTRPG professionals--staffers, freelancers, owners, et al., are substantially underpaid for their skills.
Saying "they shouldn't be in this industry if they want to be paid more" is saying "I don't want any professional RPG content to be made."

Star Wars Characters and how they make their coffee: a thread
Obi Wan makes French press coffee and gently uses just the weight of his hand to lower the filter, so that the sediment isnโt overly disturbed and the acidity is controlled.
