What PopBase has written is just a small portion of the entire narrative.
To anyone not from India, this is what is happening in India, I urge you to read through this long tweet :
India is facing severe civil unrest driven by systemic failures in its education and a horrible job market. With youth unemployment nearing 40% for recent graduates. The primary catalyst for the protests was the leaking of the highly competitive NEET (medical entrance exam) on Telegram.
Over 2 million students compete for roughly 130,000 spots, making the test a critical, high-stress lifeline out of poverty.
Adding to the frustration, the government's 12th board exam portal was recently hacked by three teenagers, exposing severe cybersecurity flaws and a complete lack of grading transparency.
The resulting cancellation of exams and pervasive unfairness devastated exhausted students, tragically contributing to numerous reported suicides.
______________
The movement gained further momentum when prominent activist, engineer, and educator Sonam Wangchuk joined with an indefinite hunger strike. After fasting for over 20 days, police forcibly detained (KIDNAPPED) and hospitalized him, despite his peaceful approach.
______________
Instead of engaging in dialogue with millions of young children from 9-20 are peacefully demanding across the entire country, the government has responded with heavy-handed tactics. Protesters are beaten by police with sticks with nails, expired tear gas (which is highly lethal), groping of underage women protestors on the sites, and internet black.
The ruling party has refused to make concessions, reportedly out of fear that holding high-ranking officials accountable would show political weakness and set an unwanted precedent.
For many observers, this crisis is a symptom of a broader slide toward authoritarianism in India over the last decade. Many argue the government has steadily eroded democratic institutions by favoring oligarchs, purchasing media compliance, suppressing voter rolls, and silencing political opposition, a prominent Opposition was thrashed at the Protest Site as well.

What began as a protest over a leaked exam has evolved into a mass outcry against deep-seated corruption, zero political accountability, and the loss of a once-vibrant democracy.
The entire country is demanding the Resignation of the Minister who was aware of the discrepancies in his System for years, and the Prime Minister who is protecting.
Amidst all this please take a minute to pray for my state Assam. It is facing one of the worst floods in years. More than 40 people have lost their lives, over 100 are missing and overall 5 to 8 lac people are affected. People have lost their homes and communication is disrupted.
Do not forget about Manipur
For 3 years, Narendra Modi, let Manipur burn
Tens of thousands are dead, women were stripped naked and paraded on the streets
The only time he spoke of Manipur in 3 years, was when a movie won n award.

the ken betwa river link project is india's first river interlinking project. the idea is simple on paper; take water from the ken river in madhya pradesh and transfer it to the betwa river through a canal to irrigate the drought prone bundelkhand region

There’s a protest led by tribals, students, citizens against corruption, data centres, deforestation, pollution, the fractured education system AT THE SAME DAMN TIME, yet NO ONE is talking about it. NOT INDIAN MEDIA NOT THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA NO ONE
There are protests everywhere in the Country
Please do not settle without any accountability, please do not let these voices fade because you found a new movie or celebrity drama more interesting!!!
