@MariusChat77956@ProudBavaria I played maybe 30-40% of it? Gameplay is rocks and I was happy the mako came back. The story was slow, but I expected that with how the themes changed.
The character's faces made it hard to get into the game for me (like oblivion.) I also expected more species but that is on me.
@MariusChat77956@ProudBavaria I'll be honest I never finished Andromeda, but I plan on it because what else can I play that's still slightly new to me and tied to mass effect 😭
@MariusChat77956@ProudBavaria If the Milky Way species discovered how to warp, they could have technically beat the Andromeda crew to the galaxy. Seems most likely with the green ending. Especially considering the remnants glow green and require both biological and artificial components.
@Majinn_Lv1@Mashiro_yuh@duckbilledtweet Yeah that's why I never got into comics until I found out about graphic novels.
It was probably fine when they were being sold everywhere, but by the time I was around they were only at comic shops which makes it pretty hard to keep up weekly. Especially for kids not near one.
@ChibiReviews He responded to me a few times and was always respectful despite having different views. Totally underserved, and that statement is 100% correct for every country.
@JacobTelltale "Fuck bioware because they won't make 1 game have the content of 3 games."
Straight up delusional take, there was no way to make a game work like that.
Plenty of good reason to hate bioware, but this ain't one of them.
The producer of anime film "Your Name.", Koichiro Ito, has been sentenced to ONLY 4 years in prison. Prosecutors revealed that he had been engaging in sex with over 100 underage girls, whom he had met on Twitter, for the past 11 years.
@daruma_shiren@Mashiro_yuh Not taking away anything from your culture, but your stuff takes plenty of inspiration from America. I mean blade runner alone is referenced more times than can be count. No country has done more with less, but that doesn't mean my country doesn't succeed as well.
@daruma_shiren@Mashiro_yuh I'm not taking pride that. No one will find a solution to piracy until we better understand each other.
You can't lecture a country into behaving like your own. I don't tolerate Americans doing that, and I won't tolerate it from anyone.
I am discussing the topic, not justifying.
@daruma_shiren@Mashiro_yuh People do want that education system, and it is being fought for everyday. Government action is rarely fast here.
I do not wish for America to emulate Japan, same goes for Japan. Would rather celebrate our difference and as the saying goes, "When in Rome, behave like Romans do"
@daruma_shiren@Mashiro_yuh I'm saying there are no safeguards or taboos here with that. Even if piracy was eradicated in America, people would read before hand meaning a new work faces the fate. America is doing fantastic creating new works.
@daruma_shiren@Mashiro_yuh Yeah I'm realizing that is the disconnect here. Reading a bit before purchasing is common here, and I have seen kids read entire mangas in bookstores before. Pirating in Japan would have that affect, but because of the lax culture here this doesn't really change much.
@kyosuke020513 Thank you, this explains everything.
It is standard in America to read a little before purchasing. Even if the manga is sold here, it would still end up playing out the same for new works.
I also purchase off the cover, makes it more exciting.
@daruma_shiren@Mashiro_yuh I understand.
However, I need to know if it is common for Japanese people to read a little of a new book/manga before purchasing. Doing that is essentially the same as pirating, reading a little bit, and then deciding not to continue right? You sample before committing either way
@BlitzTac0@Mashiro_yuh Oh wow, I see they are between $3-5.
Yeah that makes it a lot easier to take a chance. Either way I feel like most Americans read a bit in store before checking out a new book. Curious if Japanese do.
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

@Mashiro_yuh That is misguided of them.
We want accurate translations. Translators here end up changing the dialogue too much. We hate it. In America, there is a union that protects this practice along with some questionable voice talent. They want Japan to translate to get around that.
@Mashiro_yuh I have seen tons of Japanese call foreigners barbarians over piracy. Only people with a superiority complex would say that.
Japan should absolutely take great pride in their media. Everyone needs to realize assholes are everywhere and they never represent the whole.
